Stop wondering what to order, let me make a recommendation to you, their signature Charred Rib Eye, period.

I ordered the stuffed mushrooms and honestly they were tasty but very small and when the server brought them I asked if this was half an order. It literally filled up only half the plate they were served in. I recommend add 2-3 more small mushrooms and make it look like a full order or use a smaller plate. I probably won’t order those again for the price but Pelicans always have the best oysters there!

The food was outstanding ! The service excellent. It’s just the place was too LOUD !! Could not have a decent conversation with my wife or hear the waitress due to the fact people around us were including us in their conversation ! That was not in my plans. I know I’m probably going to sound old and complaining on something out of the restaurant’s control. But it can be controlled by management if wanted. Anyway great restaurant just wanted a peaceful and quiet night !!

My wife took me for Fathers Day. Perfect relaxing atmosphere on table1. I Got an end cut of prime rib medium. Lobster tail. Bahama mama and a chocolate martini. Prime rib perfect. Lobster tail sweet delicious. Blue cheese dressing from heaven. No wonder they get packed by 530pm. This is THE west side goldmine.

My family and I had been wanting to go to Pelicans for awhile. I had never been before so I did not know what to expect. I love seafood and all I wanted for my birthday was a good seafood dinner. My family and I decided to celebrate at Pelicans. We drove almost 20 minutes to arrive at this oasis in the middle of the Chihuahuan desert. It was a Monday night, semi busy, and they willingly and cheerfully accommodated our party of 12. We did make reservations the day before. Our waitress, Carla, was outstanding. She had a great attitude, attended us often and did her best to make sure we had an enjoyable time. I started off with a Pelicans Mezcal Margarita which gave me an enjoyable buzz through out the evening. For appetizers I tried the calamari and mussels. Both were great. The butter of the mussels increased the flavor and experience. The appetizers were finished down to the shell. For the main entree I had the Cold Water Lobster Tail with garlic mashed potatoes and a bowl of New England clam chowder. The New England clam chowder was perfect. Very rich, creamy and full of flavor. I added some roasted garlic that comes with the complimentary bread to the clam chowder for some extra garlic flavor. That’s just because I like garlic. The garlic mashed potatoes were great. I usually eat my mashed potatoes with gravy but these potatoes did not need gravy. Last but not least, the Lobster Tail. It’s not easy to make a perfect Lobster tail, especially since it’s a delicacy. I would say that Pelicans did a perfect job. The Lobster was cooked just right. It was very tender, delicious, had that slight sweetness you’d hope for, and the side of lemon and butter just increased the experience. You really don’t need the butter or lemon, but I like the added flavor. Even the rice under the Lobster was great. It soaked up the butter and dripping flavors while eating the Lobster. The rice made a great addition to the plate. By the time we were all done eating, everyone’s plates were cleaned, and everyone was full and happy! Thank you Pelican’s for an enjoyable birthday dinner. We will be back for more!

They were very busy so that accounts for 4-star service. Tough to take care of everyone quickly. Food was delicious, served hot. I don’t go here often but I’m never disappointed.

First time here. Amazing. The atmosphere is the perfect combination of casual and classy. Service on point. The ONLY complaint I can find with the food was slightly soggy steak fries (and that’s being nitpicky). Best blue cheese dressing I’ve had anywhere – I mean, how often do you comment on blue cheese dressing lol. Drinks were perfect. Best calamari I’ve had anywhere. Not cheap but within reason for what you’re getting. Meat was great. Fish was great. 100% will be back!
