The pasta has got to be home made. I love their bolognese but ventured and got gnocchi with creamy pesto topped with a glazed chicken breast — it was pure tantalization of the senses!! My beautiful dinner partner got the Fradiavola, simply amazing. The service was excellent with a nice cozy feel. Thank you for a wonderful dinner! The Malbec was excellent and the tiramisu we took home, buono!!

My gluten free pasta was good but the chicken was very overcooked. The salmon was also overcooked. Some of the pasta dishes are very saucy but the taste is delicious. My husband and a few others all loved the lasagna and would come back for it again. Our waitress took our orders and we did not see her again until we got up and asked for the bill. Thankfully the host was near so we could continue ordering drinks, refills and bread. The prices are reasonable. It’s a cute small restaurant. The food took over an hour from the time we ordered to come out. We had a party of 7. It’s a bit hot in the front room so if you have a small party sit farther back. Atmosphere is quiet.

OMG this was beyond awesome! I had pear ravioli. It comes with ham but I asked for the ham to stay in the kitchen. I never eat all of the food. I ate all of it and considered drinking the rest of the sauce right out of the bowl. Max had the chicken parm. Said it was outstanding. As someone who travels annually to northern Italy I’m a bit fussy about Italian food. This was magical. You have to go. Make a reservation. It’s busy.

Such a lovely experience. Our server, Demaris, was great. She suggested a great wine and pasta pairing that did not disappoint. The food was delicious! Garlic bread was great, pear ravioli was delicious, the lobster ravioli special was amazing, and the tiramisu was phenomenal! Do you know how hard it is to find a good tiramisu!? I try it everywhere I go and am usually disappointed but this place knocked it out of the park. The lobster ravioli with crab legs was such a good deal and my husband was very satisfied with it. The only thing I wasn’t a fan of was the bruschetta. It wasn’t bad by any means, just not my personal favorite. They were busy but took good care of us and allowed us space to enjoy our meal. Paced everything out. I quite enjoyed our time here and despite what other reviews say, I felt the prices were incredibly reasonable. Granted I do live in Portland so I am used to city prices but for both of us couples to walk out the door having multiple drinks, appetizers, dinner, and dessert for just under a hundred dollars per couple, I think that is more than reasonable. Thank you for such a wonderful double date night Scalzotto!

Great downtown location but service was spotty and not impressive. Over 2.5 hours for a dinner of 7 guests… the lasagna is amazing but basic serving skills are lacking. (Slow if any drink refills, slow on the bread, not confirming you got what you ordered, unorganized group payments.) I want to like this place but it gets harder everytime I go. Avoid the front window seats unless you want to sweat while you eat.

Tonight was my second time eating at Scalzotto. Had a reservation for 6:30 and ordered shortly after arriving. The waiter did a fairly decent job with our 6 top, maybe a little overwhelmed as their was a reception happening in the next room. 30 minutes waiting turned into an hour, which turned into an hour and a half, before the food was finally served. Two of the six dishes were incorrect. One of the dishes was replaced, the other we kept, because who wants to wait another hour. The food, in my experience, is usually quite good. However, the long wait and full price check will have me considering other options for dining out in downtown Loveland.

Love this place. Homemade pasta for the win! Had the special, lobster ravioli with crab legs. Ate every bite with relish + lots of fresh warm toasted bread to sop up that amazing pasta sauce. Had my busy toddler there and they were very welcoming and accommodating. Thanks for another amazing meal!

We had our daughter’s birthday dinner here tonight. We were seated right away in a nice little room near the front. We ordered wine, garlic cheese bread and salads. They were great. Meals consisted of pastas, gnocchi and a chicken dish. Very happy with everything and the portions were large. Not sure why this restraunt has had so many bad reviews, as we were very pleased and will definitely return again!

Love the wine and pasta options! So yummy! Also super speedy service. The food was ready within about 10 minutes of ordering and that was on a Saturday early evening!
