Wow ! What can I say ? What a wonderful dining experience is what I can say. El Taquito #2 in Hayward California has got to be one of the best Mexican American restaurants I’ve been to in my 53 years. As soon as I walked into the restaurant in the late afternoon there was plenty of seating and I was soon welcomed and helped in regards to being served. As I looked at the menu I was so pleased with the vast number of choices I had to choose from for my meal. I was in the mood for a giant Carnitas wet burrito and I was soon to find out that I would not be disappointed. That burrito had got to have been one of the best burritos that I had ever had. In addition, my food server was very kind and welcoming. Even the restaurant itself has a nice Mexican ambience with hispanic art and Mexican music played in the background. There is also a patio in front of the place should anyone choose to eat outside on a sunny day. I am very fortunate that such a great Mexican restaurant exists right here in my own neighborhood and you can surely bet that I will return very soon to try some of their other excellent looking dishes. I highly recommend this eatery if you enjoy fresh authentic delicious Mexican cuisine served in a timely manner with excellent hospitality. Until then happy eating !

Came here for lunch and it wasn’t too crowded outdoors so I sat in their patio. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and immediately sat down. Ordered a michelada and some breakfast for lunch. Everything tasted great and the service was phenomenal. The two ladies taking care of tables were attentive and on time with everything. It was my first time eating here even though I’ve lived in Hayward my whole life. I will definitely be back.

I have never had a bad meal here, regardless of what I order. My favorite are the crispy tacos. Small spot, not a fan of the restaurant decor. But I don’t have a problem eating at the outside tables. Occasionally I just call in my order to go. The service is good. The reason I didn’t give them 5 stars is because it is a little pricey compared to most taquerias that I have been to.

I’m so thankful for this spot. It’s been hard to find quality tacos. I was ordering from this one spot on A St. by the Lucky’s and that spot doesn’t come close to this spot.
