It was 1961. Alan Shepard was the USA’s first man in space. Dion’s “Runaround Sue” topped the music charts. Volkswagen’s funny little car invaded America in droves. And a young school teacher opened a small, one-man pizza restaurant in Tulsa, Oklahoma, which was to be the birthplace of the growing, dynamic Mazzio’s LLC of today.
That original restaurant—named The Pizza Parlor—delighted many Tulsans with the very first pizza they ever ate. The school teacher was Ken Selby, who ran his new business virtually alone and after a full day of teaching.

Two disappointing experiences. Family in from out of town, favorite memories dining at Mazzios. No one else in restaurant but us, no beer, salad bar very sad. Then ordered delivery for famy gathering hoping for usual good puzza. All 5 large came over cooked, barely edible. Salads not usual quality, only constant was the ranch dressing. Either close or get back up to speed Mazzios – we miss the good experience! Ken Selby would be very disappointed.

One of the worst mazzios I’ve been to. Spent whole lunch waiting on pizza or desserts to be replenished. The only dessert they had was cinnamon buns. The staff was inattentive and was hyper focused on employee drama, the customers were annoyances to them.

I haven’t dined in yet because I have one closer to my house but they still are great for when I’m at work!! My favorite is the Alfredo sauce pizza with cheese! So good!! I always love Mazzios Salads too!!

Mazzio’s as a pizzeria offers one of the best pizza sauces around. This ‘eatery’ is decorated with antiques on the walls. A soft drink bar let’s guests with pitched drinks refill at will, and the pizza/salad/select desert buffet ensures you’ll get plenty to eat (time to revisit my diet!). Cheery staff and clean facilities (all the areas I went to). Would be happy to dine here again.

All delivery orders of sandwiches, etc should be delivered in a bag. Not just in their styrofoam containers which we all know pop open! Bag that food!
