This place is in a strip mall in a sketchy part of town but it is worth the trip! I asked the ladies at the counter to pick something authentic for me, and boy they picked well. I don’t know what it’s called but it had shrimp, cabbage, bell peppers, onions, and spicy black bean paste. Super rich and yummy! The sweetness of the shrimp and bell peppers offset the spiciness of the bean paste, and the cabbage gave a very nice texture. Well done! Definitely going back again. Photo is below; I ordered it takeout.

Great little dimond in the rough! Very good all fresh! Definitely recommend the pan fried pork dumplings!! Ate all 8 almost by myself. The pineapple shrimp is great if you have a sweet tooth and is excellent. The veggie combination is definitely different with the sauce but still good if you want to try something different. It is a little off the highway but definitely worth it!! Don’t be fooled about the Chinese market the restaurant is inside.

We arrived at Mr.Chen’s Authentic Chinese Cuisine in hopes of authentic Chinese food as the name implies, but this was far from it. I ordered the curry shredded chicken and combination lo mein noodles, neither of which had much distinct flavor. The noodles were overcooked making them soggy/slimy and the chicken was chunky instead of being shredded, both dishes tasted more like soy sauce than anything else. I would choose another restaurant to satisfy your Chinese food needs.

Great place to eat and shop. Shrimp actually tastes like shrimp…not bland like in other places. Suspect appetizers are reheated from freezer, but main courses tasty. Has a great wet market of live fish and crabs. Lots of selection for dry goods.

Probably the most authentic Chinese cuisine one will find in Little Rock, or even Arkansas. Yes, they have your typical “American” Chinese dishes but also quite a few authentic. Also one of the only places that I know that has Hot Pot! Great thing to share with a group. The soup dumplings are some of the best that I have ever had. If you’re feeling adventurous and want to try something different, try this place. It’s been here a long time for a reason.

Was searching for chinese food when I came across this restaurant. It had very good reviews. So decided to give it a try. The restaurant is spacious and it was pretty clean. I was skeptical at first since this restaurant is located inside a Supermarket. But I was blown away by the food. There are so many options to pick and I wanted to try so much. We ordered wonton soup, sesame chicken, sweet and sour spare ribs & Taiwanese pan fried noodles. It was a lot of food for 2 adults and 3 kids. My kids loved the wonton soup and ate it with white rice. It had so much flavor. It is the best wonton soup we have tried so far. My favorite was the sweet and sour spare ribs, while my husband’s favorite was the pan fried noodles. The food is more authentic and exquisite. It is way better than your average chinese food. This gem is a must visit.

We really enjoyed the food at Mr Chen’s last night. I had probably the best Bok Choy and Black Mushrooms I’ve ever had. The Beef Broccoli and Shrimp with Lobster Sauce was quite good. However the Sesame Chicken had way to much batter on it and overtook the chicken inside. Service was good and frequent and I will be back again when in town.

We liked this restaurant. The portions are definitely shareable. I didn’t like that the paper on the straws was all cracked open. That seemed weird. We got replacement straws, and they were the same way. Overall, though, it was a great experience, and we would definitely come back again.

So nice to get authentic Chinese food, Mr. Chen’s is delicious. I had the lunch Mongolian beef, it came with rice and a spring roll for $7-$8 well worth the price, I ate every bite. The place was super clean, the people were kind. I was NOT disappointed. So now every time my mom has a doctor’s appointment in LR we are stopping in for a excellent meal.

I feel this is the best Chinese food in central Arkansas bar none, I’ve been a patron for almost a decade. Many different options for whatever type of food you want, Americanized or more traditional. I also have to give points for the always good service we receive when eating in. You’ll find something for everybody here. They remember you, and I have really enjoyed mr Chen’s every time!
