Had our Christmas Luncheon here for work. It was AMAZING food! Our doctor’s treated us to a huge lunch with an astonishing view! The food was truly delicious. We chose from a 2 option lunch menu ( Blackened Catfish over green beans), appetizer (Seafood Gumbo) , and choice of dessert ( Carrot Cake. All so very yummy! Their waiter’s are impressively attentive and well versed on the menu’s. In all honesty, they were very personable and catered to every possible need even before we thought of it!

This place is absolutely amazing with top notch food! We’ve held multiple family events with large groups and the waiters were ok. The 2 major complaints we experienced were the inability to keep up with drinks, which is one of the simplest standard we hold to ALL restaurants! After asking for more help, since they ONLY started with 2 waiters to do a party of over 30 was very poor planning. However, how a place addressed the issue brought to their attention gets them a star back since this would have been a 3 Star. Appetizers and food presentations proved to be of higher class standards as well as the food was unbelievable! The other complaint was our son had ordered the same time as everyone else and they not only failed to deliver his meal till AFTER we were done with our food AND dessert but also failed to bring fries instead of baked potato as ordered, which is the other standard we hold to restaurants to get the order out in time and correct, especially if it was THAT late:( However, overall still give this place a 4 Star Review since the parking is adequate, wheelchair access, nice elevator accompanied with one of their host to ensure you are a member or with a member’s guest to get to the highest level of the building that provides an unbelievable lakeside view of downtown by having the entire restaurant’s walls tinted windows. Very cordial and helpful wait staff and everything ordered was tasty and worth it!

I love The Pioneer Club, especially the warm staff who have been there for years! I tagged along with my husband to a end of year party! My favorite thing about The Pioneer Club is the onion rings served before the meal. They use sweet onions. And this evening they served fried green tomatoes – so great!

The food is OK. The views are nice and the food is buffet style so there is no waiting but I would rate the food as OK at best. Most people come here for a quick meal or to hangout and socialize.
