Since 1950, Whataburger has proudly served a bigger, better burger. It all started when a young entrepreneur named Harmon Dobson had a bold idea: to serve a burger so big that it took two hands to hold, and so good that after a single bite customers couldn’t help but exclaim, “What a burger!” He named his humble burger stand in Corpus Christi, Texas, “Whataburger.” Over six decades later, we’re still family owned and operated. Each and every Whataburger® is still made to order. We still use 100% pure beef and serve it on a big, toasted five-inch bun. And now, as we proudly serve burgers, chicken, salads and breakfast at more than 800 Whataburger locations across the country, that first burger stand is still close to our hearts.
Circa-1950 fast-food chain for counter-serve burgers, some stacked with multiple patties. Based on 5 reviews, the restaurant has received a rating of 4.1 stars. Price $

First visit to a Whataburger. Food was good. Staff and Manager were all pleasant and helpful. Reasonably priced. Location was great. Would definitely eat here again.

If I could give this place 0.5 stars I would. An absolute dump of an establishment that smells like homeless persons. Untidy and the bathrooms are disgusting. Order took nearly 30 minutes and many of time there is no cashier at the front counter. Homeless persons walking in and out. Saw one literally spit on the welcome mat to enter the restaurant. Food was ok but overrated. This place is the equivalent of eating at a public toilet.

First time visiting Texas and was told it is one of the To-Dos. Not sure what I was expecting, maybe something more fast casual that just fast food. Burger was good (Has no ketchup or mayo. Only has mustard so be warned to request changes if that’s not your style), wife got a chicken salad and enjoyed it, kids burger for my daughter was decent too. She ate as you’d expect from a 2 year old lol. Would go again, but probably would rank it even with Wendy’s or burger king.

My FAVE of ALL TEXAS LOCATIONS due to locality..fact. Plus, fave donut spot is across the way..However, today the order was actually “made to order” verses recent experiences across town, specifically in Balcones Heights & Castle Hills.

I don’t think I will ever give Whataburger less than 5 stars. It’s really a treasure of Texas culture. This one was very slick and smack in the middle of the city. It did seem like they were understaffed so the order line took forever. The food came out fast however. Great fast food. No complaints.

Took over 10 minutes for a mobile order. When I finally got my food, the bun was stale, and my burger was cold, but I didn’t want to have to wait even longer to get something made fresh. The cherry on top was having to hassel with the cashier for a cup for my drink when I ordered a meal. She was also rude to a guy who asked for the code to the restroom.

If you have a large family and expect to save a buck taking them to this location, no it’s not going to happen will still end of costing almost the same at eating a restaurant, very busy on weekends, staff over worked, service wasn’t horrible, staff wasn’t ether, forgot part of our order but with the amount of work they had I understood, Pass on this location on weekends! Weekdays it’s not bad!
