This place is an absolute hidden gem and one of my favorite spots to go any day of the week. Food is delicious and the portions are huge!! The Fat daddy sandwich is really good and you can never go wrong with the chicken and waffles just so much flavor. The spice levels are a tad hot so I like to stay around the mild spot. Best part is they even sell Faygo!!!

Usually these little hole in the wall joints are good.. i was hungry and excited to try this chicken and waffle spot. The chicken was so over cooked it was that weird rubbery chicken that no one wants. The flavor was weird like whatever seasoning they use I do NOT like. The 2 men working said maybe 2 words the 20 min I waited. Yes 20 min and I was the only soul in the place.. the waffle was just mediocre but since they put the chicken on it, it too had that yuck taste from the chicken on it. I will never go back.

After reading the reviews and a co-worker said how good this place was. I’m very disappointed, my chicken sandwich tasted like it was cooked in old grease, and the loaded fries with the cheese and Mac on them was overwhelmed with too much. Sorry but I won’t be a repeat customer.

Delicious! We got the family meal with 10 mild chicken tenders, cheese fries, and Mac and cheese. It was so much food! Great deal! Everything was super flavorful. The Mac and cheese was nice and peppery. The cheese fries look like plain cheese fries but the seasoning was so good! The chicken although mild was very well seasoned. The pickles on top gave them a nice salt and vinegar taste too. I would definitely come back. Wish it was closer to me!

Slappin food is so good here the waffles are homeade chicken is juicy seasoned well Mac and cheese is one of the best I ever had collard greens are delicious hush puppies are off the hook homeade deserts 2 I got banana pudding my favorite… Very good service friendly people and my food was done right on time… Definitely definitely will be back here!!! ♥️

I wish I could rate higher, as I like to support local businesses, but my food was just not good at all. I ordered a Fat Daddy sandwich and fries and there was so much wrong with it. The portions are ridiculously huge. I’m a big eater and couldn’t even come close to finishing everything. I think most people would prefer to pay a little less with a portion size the average person can actually finish. More importantly, the chicken was watery and bland and there was no crisp at all. The slaw didn’t taste like anything, and I’m not sure what the comeback sauce is supposed to be, because it tasted like nothing. I ordered “mild” because i didn’t want it too hot, and there is no “medium” (why?) There was absolutely no spice at all to it. I might’ve been able to eat more of the humongous sandwich if it weren’t such a bland, watery mess.

This place was absolutely amazing. I love hot chicken and have been looking for a good spot and I’m so happy I finally found it! I definitely dug in and ate some fries and one of the sandwiches in my order before the photos but if you’re looking for some really good Nashville hot chicken, This is the place to go! The fries are really crispy and good, the chicken was hot, spicy, perfect balance with flavor and heat and the coleslaw is a perfect topper for this sandwich. 10/10 would recommend.

Chicken was so good and juicy! They have a decent sized menu and can pick the level of spice you want on the chicken. If you don’t like spice or very little spice, can ask for no spice at all or get mild. I thought the mild level of heat had a decent kick. Will definitely return! Not a lot of seating inside so mostly good for take out or eating outside.

Riverview location: 5/5 stars for the Fat Daddy sandwich. Had it with the Hot sauce and pickles. The chicken was perfect and they loaded up the fries. (Note: they serve the sandwich with dark meat unless you upgrade to white. I had the dark meat and it was so good).

Decided to take a shot on this as the reviews and pictures looked good. I got the fat daddy sandwich, my wife got the 1/2 dark chix & waffles and my 13 year son had the tender meal. I really liked mine and my son liked his. My wife liked the skin on the chicken but didn’t like the meat and felt the waffle was soggy.
