Good places to eat at frequently are hard to come by these days but we really enjoy this spot. We’ve been about 6 times now and everything is consistent from the food to the service. You can tell that the food is actually fresh and made with real ingredients . Relaxed atmosphere with nice sized patio and very clean. Drinks are excellent and bartender has had a great attitude when we’ve sat at the bar with her. I feel like it’s getting harder and harder to find a solid spot these days so I make it a priority to give kudos to those who come through on a regular basis, cheers

Found this restaurant out and about. Very delicious! Got grilled chicken sandwiches with fries. The fries are delicious. Seated quickly and service was great!

Ordered the porch burger, fantastic very flavorful and yummy. The greens thought we’re missing something. Like some onions or bacon. They were good, and I did eat them though

The restaurant itself is very nice; however the food and drinks were average and way overpriced. Most of the servers were friendly. I had to tell our waitress to leave certain ingredients out of my meal, and she basically looked at me like it was a problem and I was crazy.

This place is OK – menu is very small, nothing comes with a side except for maybe 2 different dishes, uncomfortable seating, kind of a cheap atmosphere with an expensive menu. I probably didn’t order the right thing. Server didn’t really have any good suggestions other than the chicken sandwich and burger which you can get anywhere.

Great food and atmosphere. You can also have private events there – perfect spot for a post toast or welcome party on wedding weekends. Highly recommend!

Birmingham is a foodie town and there are many good choices, but rarely does a restaurant meal inspire us to want to recreate the meal at home. Porch was an exception. In our first visit we ordered oko pancake and truffled farro bowl. Being an Asian I am quite familiar with savory Asian pancakes, and oko pancake tasted very authentic – crispy and tender, spiciness to the point and not overpowering. Now the truffled farro bowl was something we’ve never tried. We were intrigued by the name and – was it a good choice! Truffle oil (I am guessing white truffle oil?) paired really well with the sourness of the balsamic, sweetness of the beets, nuttiness of the farro, and creaminess of the goat cheese. We liked it so much that we went to buy grocery to try to make it at home. We will come back again.

Delicious neighborhood spot! The best burger in town! Not in the mood for a burger? Try the Oko with bacon and an egg, the farro bowl, or the fried chicken! Your tastebuds won’t be disappointed!

Do not support Porch restaurant in Crestline Village. The owner Frank Alverson mistreats his female employees. In fact he takes the classic arrogant white man stance when it comes to females in general. He is overall a classless man, a bad father, and a bad husband as he also often bad mouths his wife to the staff. The food is sub par basic sandwiches and fries with some rando selections that dont fit the environment. Brunch food is worse you will pay $15 for some measely pieces of french toast, or a breakfast plate that comes with pickles and tomatoes sorry thats not what I would want a breakfast plate. It just looks sad when they bring it out.
