This is real food, made the right way. Small, family run place. Fresh, good quality ingredients, prepared upon order, no precooked food. Loved it, stopped by accident and I am so glad I did. Tried the food when I picked it up and ordered two extra servings right away… Definitelly eating here anytime I am in the area. The picture is Thai we also had Chinese, everything was amazing.

I called New Star to place my order since someone recommended them well I received the wrong order and their receipt shows what I had ordered which is not what I got. Also, price on the menu that they have up aren’t the same .the menu says $6.00 and I was charged $825 plus 3.25 extra for different type of rice. Called to bring this to their attention asked if I could bring back my food when I told them that I was 25 min away. Also told them that price was different from what I was charges all they said was that’s old menu well why is old menu still up. I don’t recommend them , not only are they unprofessional hanging up because you can’t complain when they make mistakes they don’t take complaints easy or as a way to better themselves. Also, food wasn’t as good and portion for the price of a lunch special is ridiculous,spent over 20.00 for lunch special. I will stick to Chop Stix in bartonsville, much better food n prices and better customer satisfaction.

Food is always good!! I will add that last time i was there for take out it was uncomfortably cold as hey had no heat on in there. They had two portable heaters one was on the crew cutting beans at the table and leaving cord thew the main walking area. This is a tripping hazard. 10 year old girl working the cash register as well cutting beans at the guest table.

Sadly they did not have vegetable dumplings so I opted out. Though they did have a variety of other vegetable options, tofu as well. My Dad and Sister both got a lunch special meal. My sister seemed to enjoy her sweet and sour chicken. Came with a free drink. Quick service.

They used to be the best Chinese food spot in the area, but since covid the quality and taste of the food has gone WAY downhill. They have also gotten way overpriced, sesame chicken was way too spicy and extremely overcooked, egg rolls have a really bad after taste of old oil, and lo mein tastes terrible.this was always our go to spot, but I don’t think we will be back. There are definitely better places around that are worth the extra drive
