Really delicious Japanese food here with good portions and a chill ambience. Warm sake and miso soup were refreshing. Fried octopus was tender and not at all rubbery. Gyu don was good as well, but it was 90% rice, 5% seaweed salad, and 5% beef and onions. That ratio needs to be better.

We were on a road trip to San Francisco from Santa Barbara & skipped lunch. We were starving and craving for Asian Food. This restaurant has good rating. It was hard to find parking in front and we found plenty of parking behind the building. The ambiance and staff were very nice. My husband and I ordered the same 3 item Bento box with salad and miso. The food was delicious and service were excellent. The tempura was very good. We were stuffed!

As a first time customer, their 3 choice bento came with quantities in its portions.They indeed were NOT stingy about it. The stock for the Agedashi tofu was so bold it immediately cleared my hunger. It tasted like it came straight out of a smoker, I’ve never had agedashi taste so bomb.

They serve escolar, which is known to cause diarrhea. When ordering take out, they stack hot soup over the raw fish, made the fish in my chirashi warm to the touch when it arrived home. It was disgusting.

First timer. Food took a long time to get. About 10 to 15 minutes. Not all dishes came in a timely manner. We had to ask about one dish which we half way done with our meal. Food was worth the wait. Everything was tasty and I think the portions were bigger than other restaurant. Would of been 5 star if food service is faster.

Ordered a Gyu Don (beef over rice) – this should’ve just been rice over beef. 3/4 container rice and maybe 2 pinches of the beef and onions. Seaweed salad was decent. Beef was dry and too little of it. Just a touch more beef and less dry, it would be a go to dish for good quick lunch.

BIG bento! Great service; great food and presentation; it’s located in a busy area so parking is tough; we’ve been going for years, they are consistent. My only concern is the floors have a smooth surface, almost as if they feel slippery.

Perfect little spot for a quick bite to eat of Japanese cuisine. Friendly and conscientious staff and a lot to choose from on the menu. Good lunch combo meal prices. Plus we had the opportunity to watch the Sushi Chef filet a 20 lb. salmon right in front of us! That was definitely an entertaining experience as we enjoyed our Bento Boxes.

The sushi rice for the chirashi was not cooked all the way. Some of the rice was crunchy, and part of the rice was too vinegar and other side had no vinegar. The fish pieces was okay. The bento was the standard bento, no issues but nothing exceptional.
