When looking for a nice quality meal and a more sophisticated atmosphere than your basic restaurant, DT Prime is the place go in Charleston, West Virginia. Steaks are cooked to perfection, I had a true medium rare that was delicious. For a unique experience, you can order your steak on a stone where you complete the cooking process yourself, this allows you to prepare it the way you want it. (Do not worry – when you choose your type they will prepare your steak perfectly without you finishing the process on the stone, it is just a special option that can be fun!) We will definitely be going back again!

We stopped in for dinner while traveling without reservations and were happy greeted and seated right away. The food was good, the homemade ginger lime vinaigrette on the summer salad was delicious (my kids wanted to drink it!) The entire staff was so friendly, we didn’t pass anyone on the way out who didn’t wish us a good evening, safe travels, or to visit them again which we certainly will do!

We love coming to Charleston and try different restaurants. This is one of the best in town. From the super nice lady making us a reservation to the fantastic server we had. Food is a mix of amazing flavors and perfectly cooked. Highly recommended.

LOVED IT!!!! Our waitress Michaila was so wonderful, great personality, great customer service. Food was incredible, highly recommend the steak on a stone. The hostess was awesome also. We sat outside on the patio and really enjoyed the atmosphere of downtown Charleston. If I could rate it with more than 5 stars I would.

This was a unique steak dining experience. They brought out a hot lava rock to cook my steak up on. Very neat idea and the steak was delicious! The bread that they bring to the table is phenomenal! The wedge salad was so big I took half home and had for lunch the next day.

I enjoyed a wonderfully tender 18oz Ribeye and my wife had the Rosemary Chicken. All the food was delicious and cooked perfectly. The French Onion soup was also delicious! Definitely will be going back in the future. I also appreciate that all their meat is WV sourced.

Visiting for a conference and took myself out for a nice dinner. And man, was it nice. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the 850 degree stone steak presentation sets them apart from other places I’ve been. I went back the next day and they outdid the spinalis cut (really cool and unique steak) with mezcal old fashioned and a grilled caesar salad. I miss this lovely little state and will be sure to come see them again the next time I’m here.
