Its next to Jax’s in flowery branch. Been there three times now and it’s been great every time. Hole in the wall Mexican serving tacos and other street style items. It’s not fancy, it’s just honest to goodness simple homestyle food. Simple restaurant with a few seats, nothing fancy which is fine by me. Next time I go will take some pictures. Highly recommend this place.

Don’t order from this place. I placed an order for 2 birria tacos, 1 cow tongue taco, 1 shrimp taco and chips at guacamole. I called this order in at 8:10pm. When I got there and got my tacos I trusted they put everything in my bag, to my surprise, they didn’t. I was missing the sauce for the tacos and the meat on all tacos were really dry. At this point it was after 9pm and they were closed. I called the next day and the manager told me the owner would replace my order. They then called me back shortly to say the owner “changed his mind” and even though they know I picked up towards close, I have to “call immediately “.

So I’m usually not the one to leave reviews but this experience had me wanting to spin the block & let someone know about my experience && let me know if I’m tripping. So I came in to this establishment on Monday August 21, 2023. When I initially walked in, I was super excited because me & my friend were craving tacos; specifically the birrias. So I walked up to the counter the young lady there just stared at me. I began to ask some questions about the menu considering it was my first time there. I asked her about the Platillos Birria and she informed me that it wasn’t the actually Birria it was just the meat with the tortillas on the side. That’s not what I wanted. I was obviously looking for a meal/combo of some sort but she just answered my questions and stepped away as if she didn’t want to answer my questions. I was on the phone with my friend as I was ordering and he told me to just get some Birrias & tacos. So I ordered 4 Birrias tacos with cheese, 2 chicken tacos, side order of beans and rice & queso. My total was $32.80 which I thought was a great deal. I stepped out after I ordered to stand outside because I was on the phone with my friend. So the young lady that was behind the counter I walks over by the door as well & I politely asked her “Does the Birrias come with consumé?” She first said “yes” then corrected herself and said “actually no, you didn’t get the combo” I then asked “well what comes with the combo” She informed me that the combo is 3 Birria tacos & a consumé that’s it. So I asked “Oh what’s the price difference” She informs me that it was actually a dollar cheaper. I then ask “well how much is the consumé but itself?” She said “$2”. So I’m like “Okay, well since I ordered 4 Birrias could you just throw in the consumé because I didn’t know you all had a combo” She tells me “No, I can’t do that” && so now I’m confused because I’ve worked years in the service industry & know both sides to dealing with people and customers. For starters, she didn’t help much with the menu considering it was my first time there. She also didn’t offer any suggestions such as “Well since you’re getting 4 birrias, we have a combo with 3 birrias that includes the consumé” & overall to be honest she was giving weird hating vibes from the first moment I walked in but I was overriding it with kindness & politeness because again I know how working in the service industry can be. So all in all I ended up just asking for a refund because some things are just principle & business. && this experience with the young lady reflected bad business & lack of principles. Idk if I’ll be back but hopefully this could be a learning lesson for the overall business.

I arrived 45 minutes before closing time and the available staff did not speak English. No worries, I speak Spanish and placed an order. Two tacos for me and a burrito for my wife. The staff didn’t really want to process my order and waited for another employee to come back from the bathroom. I then spoke spanish to her repeating my order. She looked at the other employee in astonishment that my order had been placed. She then judged me by my skin color and spoke English, questioning my order and making sure I actually wanted food from a restaurant. I agreed with her questions and confirmed that I indeed did want food, from a restaurant. With a hefty sigh she gave the signal to the other employees to cook my food. They all looked miserable with an emotion of sorrow. The young man started warming up some side fillings, the other woman made other fillings and the dishwasher gentleman looked on with sorrow. The manager that took my order finished the plates and packaged it up, charging me without the option to leave a tip. Based on body language I would have left a big tip, the employees need a morale booster! Not sure if I would return based on customer service, but the food was great!

Yummy. If you’re looking for a quick taco I recommend here to go to right off of the road its fast food but not really. Today they forgot my lime which sucks but its okay

As authentic as you can get in the area with fair prices. The fish tacos were wonderful. Will be back next time to take pictures and upload them here.
