Looking for a spot open late after getting off the ferry and had the pleasure of stumbling upon Joy Luck. The service was wonderful, it was very reasonably priced, the food was fresh and delicious (and very clearly homemade!). 10/10. Even better, it’s very apparent that the staff loves and respects each other- they shared a meal together just after closing which warmed my heart. Overall, it tasted good and felt good to be there. Will definitely visit again.

We ordered a veggie egg rolls and a general chicken, they were both awesome and between the two of us we still had some leftovers! The veggies were fresh and the sauces were thoughtful. The chicken and the fried food was perfectly crispy! We will definitely get the food here again!

Thebomb.com. Absolutely phenomenal and everything I look for in a Mandarin style restaurant.

What a wonderful surprise when the lower than average price of the food did not reflect the quality, and quantity of the product! I ordered 2 lunch sets at $10 each, a hot sour soup for $8 and a almond chicken dish for around $13. The lunch included an egg flower soup each. It was a great lunch for four of us and had a portion of the almond chicken leftover for lunch the following day. Everything was tasty and well cooked. I am recommending this little “hole in the wall” to you if you’re in the area.

Delicious food prepared quickly. I enjoyed pork fried rice and generals chicken. The chicken was nice and crispy and the sauce was nice and tangy. Probably the best fried rice I’ve had in North Kitsap.

Genuinely some of the best Chinese food around. I have been coming here since I was a little kid and even after quite a few changes in ownership, some of the recipes stayed exactly the same. Their sweet n sour sauce is killer, their egg rolls are very peppery and filled with cabbage, the egg foo young is incredible, and the almond fried chicken is actually the best. Their soups are also super good! The only thing I grieve for is they used to have fried tofu on the menu, the oldest one was just plain but still lovely, but the most recent time a few years ago was salt and pepper tofu with bell peppers and onions and it was INCREDIBLE. I wish they would bring that back! Other then that definitely a must go-to Chinese restaurant.

I love this restaurant! I have a severe wheat allergy (chefs need to clean the grill, change gloves, use separate utensils, etc), so I rarely eat out (and Chinese is usually not even an option due to using soy sauce). I’ve eaten many dishes here and they were all amazing and I’ve never gotten sick afterwards. I appreciate their caution and the food is flavorful.

We had to wait more than an hour for our order to be ready. Our order was completely wrong and was even missing items. We didn’t check until we got home 20 minutes away. Plus, the food we did get was meh – okay. Reminded me of the fast food Chinese restaurants in the mall. Next time we will drive to Poulsbo for reliably good food. Never again!

Used to order and pick up from them personally, but since they engaged their onlie ordering system, which SUCKS BIG TIME, I can’t hang with that anymore! You can’t view a full menu, and some online service back in Georgia is where you have to place your order, totally confusing. I hate the inhuman touch in modernity, honestly. Here is my message to Joy Luck: 你的新在線訂購系統太糟糕了! 太混亂了! 不好。!!!
