Was not impressed and I use to enjoy the food from their other location in Ghent so I just assumed this location would pop also? I wanted light and simple so I ordered the House Soup. It was simple alright its like they didn’t even try? The broth didn’t have much flavor, wasn’t very hot, and the meat (pork, shrimp, & chicken) was so minuscule (6 not even bite sized pieces) I couldn’t even consider it a portion. For 8 bucks there should have been a better protein/vegetable ratio.

The rice was straight trash. I took two bites. It was tasteless I asked for fried rice ,it definitely wasn’t fried, or it was a poor attempt at fried rice. The general tso chicken barely saved the meal.

Kin’s Wok have a monopoly over Chinese food in the area and it has led to a decline in quality and increase in price of the food. Food itself has shrunk in size and raise in price across the board. Amenities such as chopsticks and soy sauce is not offered. Online ordering system is atrocious and does not let you select the type of rice you prefer and let’s the staff dump whatever left over in your paper box. No fortune cookie and even have the audacity to mischarge you by raising the price before giving them your card. I wouldn’t be surprised at any other underhanded tactics employed to rob their customers. Rather take a longer drive than coming to this restaurant again out of convenience.

Being a Wards Corner resident, we don’t have as big of a selection nearby as a Ghent resident, and I think the limited options tend to make us more forgiving. That being said, I have never had bad quality food from Kin’s Wok 2. Always fresh, always hot, I never have to wait more than 10-15 minutes after ordering to be able to pick up, and fair portions and prices. Also, I think it’s worth mentioning that I won’t eat eggrolls just anywhere because most places have nasty half-rotten cabbage in them. Kin’s Wok 2 is the only place I get consistently fresh cabbage in my egg rolls, and I order several every time I go.

Initially when this restaurant started it was outstanding as time has gone by things have definitely changed. Vegetable fried rice doesn’t even include water chestnuts baby corn bamboo shoots… Instead it’s broccoli carrots and onion and mushroom and that is it. Quite the disappointment when I picked up my rice today considering I paid extra for those type of vegetables that I did not receive. Nor was I informed on the telephone that they no longer serve those type of vegetables.

The food smell like they cook it in burnt motor oil. The Beef & Broccoli on Lunch Special cost me $8.98. I won’t be back.

I paid $15 dollars for a small house fried rice and egg roll, the rice wasn’t even fully cooked.

I’ve been going there 8 yrs and the food is still good but.. the online menu prices are way off. Ordered 2 items that totaled 15 dollars, 23 dollars when picked up.. and they do not honor additional free egg roll or other items like menu says .. I will try somewhere else for a change
