We came here for dinner around 7:30pm on 7/9. We were absolutely blown away by how beautiful and delicious our dinner was! The hot sake was delightful. The onion soup came out immediately after we ordered it, and it was also scrumptious. Then we got the baked avocado for an appetizer, and the warm creaminess of the avocado paired perfectly with the crab on top of it. We then had the pleasure of enjoying the dynamite scallop roll, the cowboy Texan roll, and the spicy lobster roll. They were not only the most flavorful and delicious sushi we have ever had…they were art! We can’t wait to come back and enjoy more!

This was the best sushi I have had in a while. I see a lot of complaints about the staff and service. But, that must be just hit or miss. We literally had 4 different people serve us. We had near zero wait time for drinks and appetizer. And the wait time for the entree was very low. It’s very family friendly.

The overall experience was just average. Was going to give 3 stars, but having my food cleared when I went to the bathroom and not getting the majority of my hibachi meal made me 2 star this place. Even though I had a Togo box sitting next to my plate ready to be made.

The food is one of the best quality with knowledgeable chefs and servers. We were served with a great presentation, of the food that we ordered. Authentic ambiance gives the cultural aspect of Japan, with a relaxing feel to it. It’s perfect for a date night. My wife, who’s from California, asked for a baked roll that was not on the menu. The chef was more than happy to accommodate my wife with her request for something off menu. This place by far is the best in Lubbock.

I love coming here in the middle of the week. The food is always delicious, but, for that reason, weekends are always PACKED. It’s nice to be able to have a quiet dinner to get you through your midweek slump. It’s also nice to have the option to sit at a stand alone table if you’re not feeling social enough to sit at the hibachi table.

Food is always good but very inconsistent ofc bc of the style of cooking (i.e. sometimes a little heavy handed with salt or sauces…other times it’s perfect.) They don’t accept reservations which is a bummer (and growing trend at most restaurants I might add ). You don’t get to really pick your seats. On more than one occasion we were asked to move bc we were a “party of 2”, but when we had 4 were seated on the side?? So that was strange. The atmosphere is nice. I would recommend it for family outings so you know who you sit next to bc then otherwise it’s the pick of the litter! we didn’t have a very lively bunch this time. We will definitely be back especially since they closed the 4th & west loop location.

Gone to eat there alot but always have bad experience they rush us to eat all the time and the last time we went my card keep declining for some reason… manager was very rude about it.. so I showed her my bank account that it had money in it… she did not even give me privacy to figure out what was going on she stood there heard all my personal info while I was on the phone with the bank… don’t think I will go back felt so embarrassed on how I was treated
