At our Whitehall, OH location, we are part of a historic seafood tradition. Captain D’s Seafood Restaurant first opened its doors back on August 15, 1969. A lot has changed since then, but our commitment to serving freshly prepared seafood at a great value has been our core mission from the beginning. Known originally as Mr. D’s Seafood and Hamburgers, Captain D’s was opened in Donelson, Tennessee. From the very start, we set out to provide quality seafood at reasonable prices, a concept that was revolutionary at the time.

The food was hot and fresh. But you definitely can tell that the food is all cooked in the same or similar grease. And quite salty( ⚠️ warning for High Blood pressure eaters) Even though they forget half of my order they were willing to replace it with double. The staff Leonard was very professional and polite and humorous.

It was hot and fresh but the grease and salt was to much for me .I will go back and try something else had the battered fish and I thought maybe it’s just me .I have it to my son and he said it was disgusting.Kids say what they feel.Anyway I’m hoping this was just a fluke and not the normal.I will return.

Driving up 9:40pm on Sunday night! I got the 2-piece special..sub the fries for Okra and added shrimp! OHWAS IT TASTY!..the Okra was fresh/hot and not overly breaded and great flavor. I’m glad I tried them. If you like LJS, try Capt Ds for a less salty flavor and lighter breading! I’m glad I went!

9:50pm on a Friday didn’t take my order didn’t tell me they where closed nothing. I could see multiple people inside if they where closed that’s fine but you could have atleast told me that rather than let me wait in the dru thru for 10 minutes. If you’re looking for service it’s across the street.

I ordered the Seafood Feast on 7/10/23 @ around 9pm with mac and cheese and coleslaw. Was asked about sauces and I said just plenty of tarter sauce. They gave ne 2 BIG cups of tarter sauce, plus 8 packets and didn’t give us the shrimp or the hushpuppies. I tried to call to nobody answering. CHECK YOUR BAG BEFORE PULLING OFF!! By the time I would have driving the 3 minutes back to describe the problem and hope for resolution, my main dinner would be cold. Again, DOUBLE CHECK EVERYTHING!!! I tried to add photos of the HUGE cups of tarter sauce, but it wouldn’t let me upload.

I placed a $30 order two weeks ago only for it to be entirely wrong. I came back to the East main location 30 minutes later with the food and asked for a refund.Then I was informed that a refund can only be issued 25 minutes after the order was taking or it will not be in the system. The night shift manager sign my receipt, took my information and told me to speak to the general manager who would reach out to me. So after multiple visits to this location because no one never called I finally spoke with the Gm today only to be told a refund can’t be issued until 7 business days after being approved by his boss. This experience has been draining and all I want is my hard working money back. I will not be revisiting this location again and if you do make sure you return your order if it is messed up within 25 minutes. Unless you want to wait 3 to 4 weeks for a possible refund and have some of the workers look at you as if your a inconvenience.

Let’s Unpack This (Hoarding While Bougie!)
Originally gave them 4 stars because a good deal of my order was missing. They definitely deserve 5 as they were extremely kind when I called to address the error. They made things right when I picked up the rest of my order. I see people are upset but we walk before we run and this place just opened with all new staff. We’ll definitely give them another try since the food was yummy and the staff so kind and accommodating. I met a kind young man from WV with a cool Cross tattoo.

Been about eight years or more since I had a Captain D’s and it was great. Got the big fish sandwich. Extremely long line in drive thru but to be expected at such a great restaurant. In fact the sandwich was so good that instead of a steak dinner my friend wants to have another fish sandwich from there again the next time I come to visit. I do have to say that eating a sandwich with real fish and not a processed fish patty is dang good and a special treat for me.
