I had to take my girlfriend to her knee appointment at highway 270 and olive street road. While we were there, she said we should go visit our people at gobble stop restaurant. We had been there on several occasions and have ordered trays of their “turkey tips”, which they are famous for. After the appointment, we drove down the street to gobble stop and went in. There was a line, so we just waited cause we were like the third person in line waiting to get served, and the place is small. When it came our time to order, he stated that he didn’t have any more turkey tips cause of call-in orders and the holidays and so on. My girlfriend stated that he should have a sign to let people know when he runs out or announce it in the restaurant. We still placed an order of a turkey leg with one side and a gobble stop platter minus the turkey tips. The food was good but my girlfriend complained because she got “pork and beans” instead of baked beans. It was still a good lunch and we will go back again.

I’ve enjoyed all of the smoked meats I have tried, but the turkey ribs are by far my favorite and the only place I know of that serves them. They are fantastic! My second favorite is the smoked turkey leg, available on Fridays only. The options on the online menu are just a small percentage of what is offered on the menu in the store, so if you’ve never been here get yourself down to the restaurant before making up your mind. I found this place online and had been wanting to try this place for years but it wasn’t convenient to home given the location and that they close at 6:00 pm. I finally got down to the restaurant and now I regret not making a better effort. I love their smoked turkey.

Great little restaurant! The food was delicious. We had the pulled chicken sandwich and the turkey melt. The sweet potato fries are amazing. The smoked wings are the Bomb! Friendly service. Got the order for takeout. Small place with about 5 tables inside and a few outside. They have odd hours so make sure you check before you go. Very very busy on Sunday…would try during the week.

Go and support this family owned business; you won’t be disappointed…it was our first time there……they were out of gluten free bread/buns; so I ordered an open faced turkey breast sandwich and my hubby ordered the turkey breast sandwich on a pretzel bun and we ordered the wood-smoked chicken wings…..Oh my, it was delicious—just delicious……A+++

I had always wondered about this place, because I play pool right next door at Pink Galleon. I caught them right before closing and was welcomed by the owner. He even allowed me to stay and finish my meal after the doors were closed. The turkey bites were the best food that I had ever tasted. I honestly have never tasted anything so good. The baked beans what delicious and the green beans were very good. The workers were very friendly and made me feel like I was at home. I am giving this place five stars in every category!

Yeah, you’ve gotta go here. Stumbled upon this place by accident and decided to get some food with a friend. Some of the best chicken wings I’ve ever had, smoked to perfection and crispy. Quality of the meat was terrific, no fatty chunks or chewy tendons, size was above average. Pictured are the smoked wings and the fried chicken sandwich.

5 stars for sure! Great wings that were very big compared to the competition. The wings had great smoky flavor with a great sauce. (I recommend getting the sauce on the side because it was plentiful) Most places sides are just okay but both of these were great. The coleslaw while maybe pre-made was still very good with a unique flavor and the green beans while out of a can were seasoned well and were delicious. The family owned vibe was evident and great to see. Eat here and skip the chain restaurants, places like this deserves to thrive!
