Eating at Craft House Pizza. We wanted the craft house pizza with no sausage and wanted to substitute banana peppers, We were told no substitute on pizzas any more. So we did a build your own. Large cheese, pepperoni, onions, banana peppers, and mushrooms. Let’s just say we won’t be back. I counted 4 pieces of onions, found 3 slices of pepperoni.

Honestly, I’d never heard of this place until a recent return visit to Lawrenceburg. I’d liked the previous restaurant in this space, Hometown Pizza, but I must say that Craft House is also perfectly respectable. The service was pleasant – not in a “big chain in a big city” sort of way but in a small town, “what do you want, hun?” sort of way. The pizza was fine, crispy on the bottom without being burnt. The atmosphere was just locals there with their families. Decent brew selection also.

First red flag-people in front of us for carry out brought their order back in because it was wrong. We ordered half ham and pineapple – half double pepperoni with extra sauce over whole pizza. Got home with a half pineapple, and pepperoni and half ham and pepperoni with almost no sauce. The last 2 times we have ordered from Craft House Pizza they have messed up our order. Not going for a third time, we will give our money to a pizzeria that can read an order and prepare the pizza correctly. CHECK YOUR PIZZA BEFORE YOU LEAVE! It’s probably going to be wrong!

3 pm on a Saturday afternoon and we were one of two tables, Staffed looked disappointed to see us. Pizza was good after we instructed them to cook it the rest of the way. Service was awkward and we were definitely rushed after having 2 beers, so we took the hint and left. Men’s room had poop on the toilet seat and even though there was a toilet brush beside the toilet and I witnessed two male teammates enter the men’s room obviously no one has been trained to use it. Love craft house in Louisville and was excited to eat at this one. Hard to find good help, and even harder to train them. Good luck!! I’ll be back, and hopefully this review gets read. Small business is the best business but it’s sure not easy!!

I was surprised when I called Hometown and got this new company but went ahead and ordered our usual pair of takeout thin crust pizza. 1 medium garden pizza, 1 medium mushroom, with Italian sausage. The garden pizza was as good as ever but my family hated the sausage pizza, (missing the mushrooms, only 5 pieces of sausage and not enough for every slice).
