Combo bowl was good. Fried rice was outstanding and beat my expectations. Thai tea was spot on. I would definitely eat here again.

I have a rule when I travel the country: Find some little hole-in-the-wall place with a walk-up window and a line of people outside, and eat there. I’m rarely disappointed, and the Hungry Horse Drive-In is a perfect example of this.

I’m driving by this place for over 10 years and never knew it existed. Tried a few different dishes here and I like them all. I personally prefer the skewer’s over the chopped chicken or beef. I’ve had the shrimp fried rice, farmer burger, chicken skewer plate and chicken and beef mixed plate.

Great little hole in the wall. I got the the chicken and beef combo plate for $7 and it was fantastic. You definitely get a lot of food for the price.

Ordered a won ton soup it was tasteless also Ordered a teriyaki chicken bowl. It was soso but the amount was to feed a 5 year old.. the cashier has no personality and they only have two small tables outside if you want to eat there. I had to go to my car end eat there..

My friend just brought me the chicken soup and the chicken skewers …OMG! Delicious. I looked up the place and have driven by it since 1988! I never felt called to stop there. I’m a big fan and am going back. I could eat that soup daily !

Used to eat at this place back in the early 1980’s when it was owned by Mr Corn and Ms Ear. No joke, Mr Corn was the landlord and Ms Ear owned the Hungry Horse. Always reliable food and never had problems with it. Stopped by and was surprised to see the Hungry Horse was still operating whereas the neighboring businesses have closed up. This time, I ordered my regular Chicken Plate and I got it exactly the same way it was made 40 years ago. Tasted the same as I remembered it, too. The place appears to have never been remodeled but looks clean like it always has been in the past. It was peaceful to merely sit in the small tables outside and enjoy my lunch. Shockingly enough, the price is very low. My Chicken Plate was a little over 6 bucks at the Hungry Horse. At the Century City Farmer’s Market, a simular chicken plate with less weight costs $16!!! Any way, I always remembered Hungry Horse had tasty food, made hot-hot-hot, and when passing by, immediately gravitated towards it. Still pleased with the food, too.
