Stumbled upon this place back in 2019 and it’s a regular every time I stay in Newark. Being from the south, I feel at home with the way the staff treats you. They are always super friendly, things are laid back and old fashion, and the service is always respectful and prompt. I eat way too much each time I come but the short walk back to the local hotel balances it out. There is a ton on the menu but I always end up with the garlic cheese bread and sausage pizza. They have Dr. Pepper which is awesome too.

Christy’s is one of my favorite local pizza places. Locally owned and friendly. I love their sauce which has just a little bit of a sweet taste to it but not over done. Their crust is flavorful and isn’t super thin or thick. Very rare crust thickness which I find perfect. Plenty of cheese on every pizza. Their pick up large 1 topping special is a great deal, especially with prices climbing at the rates they are. I grew up on Christy’s and continue to eat here frequently!

Very good but one pepperoni on each piece. The sauce is sweeter than I like too. For the price I will go back. I love the side salad with French dressing too. It is nice to be able to buy a single soda/beverage or by 2 liter or can packs right at the counter. There is a nice dining area to sit as well. The parking was terrible but that is the joys of being downtown.

We just had delivery. The person who took our order was rude. The receptionist at the hotel recommended it, so we decided to proceed. We received a small and a medium pizza. The crust was done but none of the topping was. Canned mushroom, cheese barely melted. Very disappointed. Ham looks like lunch meat. Would not recommend.

Order pizza and wings of course there was an hour for delivery wait. When pizza got here box was smashed and toppings sticking to the top. Called manger who apologized and offered to remake my order. I declined Because it was after 10pm and I can’t wait til after 11 to get my food. She then said I would have a $8.50 credit on my account for next time. My pizza alone was over $20. I really liked this place in the past but I won’t be back.

Quaint pizza shop downtown Newark. Warm and friendly reception at this local favorite. Diverse menu with traditional Italian dishes and subs as well. I tried the specialty thin crust, Hawaiian pizza, with Ham, pineapple, mushrooms, toasted shredded coconut and almonds. Delicious! Plan to work my down the menu in the future.
