Frankie Bunz is a casual eating spot featuring gourmet hot dogs in many combinations. The customer can choose from a wide array of specialty hot dogs or they can build their own dog. We also have excellent fries that come as is or with chili and cheese as well as poutine. We have homemade egg rolls made from the popular recipe of a long lost local restaurant. Frankie Bunz also offers seasonal items such as soup and chili in the fall and winter. There is a selection of fountain drinks and craft bottled sodas to wash it all down. Our logo and menu are modeled after a mobster theme. the tag line being we make you a dog you can’t refuse.

This place is a hidden gem. Hot dogs are underrated in general, but Frankie Bunz takes them to the next level. If you’re looking for a light lunch, or if you don’t have a ton of time or money, or if you want to support a small business rather than stop at Panera again….this is the place to go.

I have been searching for a good veggie dog for a while, and this place has a great one. You are able to customize your dog, and it’s made fresh. They do have dine-in, however the space is limited. The employees were also very helpful with our choices and told us how we can special order certain specials with the veggie dog. Will definitely be back!

Great place for a unique hot dog! They have all different kinds. My favorite is The Don. I also recently tried Mama’s Grilled Cheese. It was good but saturated in a bit too much butter for me, hit the mix of apples, cheese and bacon is so good. They also have fries and other sides. The owners and workers are extremely kind and helpful. I’d definitely recommend!

We each had 2 hot dogs and split an order of fries. These were the best french fries I’ve had in a long time. I had 2 all beef hot dogs with mustard, onion, pickles and cheese sauce! Delicious. A little pricey, but we’ll worth it. So, so atmosphere. Small but serviceable.

Great dog and great service. I ordered their classic dog with kraut, ketchup and mustard on a wheat bun, and it was delicious. The shoestring fries are phenomenal as well. What more, all of the products used here are biodegradable: drink cups, lids, even straws. The owner is a Squirrel Hill native and extremely friendly. So glad this place is on Murray Ave.
