Just had a fantastic meal here on a Friday evening with the family. I really liked the atmosphere and how they incorporated gears into the tables. They started off with a win for me by having one of my favorite bourbon (Willett). The old fashion was on point. We then had the Calamari, which tasted fresh. I decided to go with the Ribey steak with side salad. The steak was perfectly cooked at medium rare. My wife had the pene vodka dish, which she gave a 7 out of ten. Had to deduct a point for no bread and plenty of sauce left. Overall, it was a great experience. I would recommend it.

Our experience at the Iron Horse exceeded our expectations! We had just arrived in town after a long drive and wanted good food and a fun, relaxed atmosphere. We immediately knew we were in the right place! We had the perfectly cooked calamari, steak salad (with a generous portion of steak), and a build-your-own pizza cooked to perfection in the majestic pizza oven. Everyone is SO friendly and pleasant! The drinks, the food, and the friendly staff made it a special experience for us. The Desserts are beyond delicious! Homemade awesomeness at its finest! We love this place and will make it our first stop when we return!

Sooooo special! Group of 6, three different orders, Cuban, pizza, Southern chicken bambam sandwich, each delicious. Great fries! Pizza was best I’ve had in the US. Atmosphere so unique. Large portions. Go! You will love it❤️

I was kind of disappointed in the menu, mostly pizza and burgers, expect a nicer meal selection. My salmon salad was mostly salad, the pizza was Ok. Plenty of other places to try my next trip to downtown York.

We stopped in during a rainy Saturday. Not too busy. I ordered the Iron Horse Chopped Salad. What a disappointment! I couldn’t believe this was a signature dish, and cost $14. It looked like my child threw it together with whatever they had on hand. No presentation, to speak of. Not even deliciously yummy. Just oh so Average. No, below average. As I shared with the bartender, “underwhelming.” And when I asked the server for some fresh ground pepper, which I thought might spruce it up, she told me they don’t have a paper mill. Ha! Serving entree-sized salads without a paper mill.

We had 9 in our party and the food, the drinks, the atmosphere was all good. My friend had the special that night, chicken and pasta with a cream sauce. What made me write this review was the fact that the manager brought over some warm bread at the end of our meal so my friend wouldn’t let the sauce go to waste. You can see how excited he was! Haha. He happily sopped it up with the bread! That is what made our experience special.

Another great local spot. Tasty good quality food and amazing service. Right on an easy to get to corner in the small downtown area. Depending on how busy it is you may need to circle to find a parking spot. I had the flat iron steak and my wife had the grilled salmon. Both options were great. The bang bang shrimp is a great appy to share. Will definitely be back.

Really cool environment with some of the interesting ways to hold tables up and light fixtures that are really cool. Reminds me of a steam punk environment with the heavy machinery and chains and stuff. Great eye candy. The server we had the time we visited with wonderful. Very nice and attentive. The food tasted pretty good. As much praise as the environment and our particular server was I have to say the food was a let down. We ordered a flat iron steak (supposedly grass-fed and local to York PA) it was ‘good’ but tasted burnt and was very chewy. It didn’t remind me of a great tasting steak. The broccoli was delicious and the mashed potatoes were great. The wings we had were standard and the salad seemed standard. But again everything tasted relatively good. The prices do not reflect the taste and inadequacies of the food. It wasn’t enough for us to be deterred from eating here in the future, but we would try different food items next time.

This was supposed to be the Iron Horse Chop Salad and it’s probably the most disappointing salad of my life. I’m pretty sure I could exactly 6 small pieces of tomatoes, 1 craisin and just lettuce. The service sucked (but our waitress was pleasant) and it wasn’t busy. I’d think for this salad the wait wouldn’t have been an 45 mins.
