The food was good and the service was alright. The atmosphere on the other hand was disappointing. Some guy in the back was rather amped up and there was plenty of LOUD vocalization of his frustration directed towards other KFC employees. I don’t know what was behind the shouting but I would hope it could be handled in a different manner or at least in a setting that was more private. I don’t feel that the entire building should have to witness this type of behavior when they are trying to enjoy a meal.

We decided to give this business 1 more chance as last time we ordered chicken it was raw and unfortunately we live an hour away so by the time we got home to eat it we weren’t turning around to get “fresh” food made and there was no refund offered. My husband wanted KFC for Father’s Day so we figured we’d give them another shot, big mistake. We had ordered on the app, got there a little early so had to wait no big deal, we get our food open tear off a piece of meat and it’s green and brown completely rotten. Called the store, they told me to contact corporate sat on hold for over and hour only to be told that this needed to be handled by a different team. I informed the lady I just wanted a refund as we will not be returning and this exact store is the closest one in our area and she assured me someone would be calling within 24 hours… 2 weeks later and no return phone call. Completely disappointed in customer service and in a business that has been around for so long which use to have a great food.

Went to Brooking KFC at 130pm on 08/18/23 and the Manager on duty was very rude yelling in the drive thur intercom and when we pulled up to the window he continued yelling and slamming things around. I’m not sure who is running this place but it looks like this behavior has been occurring and nothing is being done. It is a shame that you can’t do better with hiring someone.

The guy in the pink hat training was so obnoxious, loud and rude. He was treating a new employee so disrespectful and talking down on him. My family and I were so sick of hearing him talk the way he was. KFC, you should really look into this. I’ve been in a management position and I couldn’t imagine treating anyone like that. There was also another gentleman being quite rude to the new employee as well!

Every time I go to this KFC, the service is horrible, but definitely, yesterday was the worst experience! The person who is in the drive-thru is so rude! he doesn’t give you time to order, he tries to make you leave as quickly as possible, they are in such a hurry that they don’t listen to what you order, and they don’t even have a long line to be rushing you, Be very careful with a tall fat man, he is one of the worst Employees, They should improve the service, we are not asking for credit or free food, we are paying! KFC better do something with this Brookings, SD restaurant, please. Maybe hire people who want to work!

Absolutely stay away unless you live in town I guess. They close the lobby at 630 on a Saturday night with hockey and dance in town. Guess they don’t want/need to stay in business. Find someplace that appreciates its customers
