This gem of a food truck is tucked away at the top of the mountain. It’s not only the best breakfast in cloudcroft but may be the best breakfast burritos in New Mexico. All made from scratch and buy some wonderful people. It’s like you can taste the love in it. We had the bacon green chili burrito, the brisket bacon and just a bacon burrito. All 5 star choices.

4th visit to Cloudcroft where this place was not open during advertised hours. This time the gent in the hot dog place adjacent said they would not be open until Sept as something different. Not certain how accurate this info was but the fact they are NOT open seems to suggest something is amiss. It’s too bad as it had so many good reviews before and we looked forward to trying it. Who knows if they will open or when but as of now Aug 31st, they are not.

I had a great brisket burrito. It was large, delicious, and filed with tender beef, potatoes, and other good stuff. It’s right off the main road, and has convenient parking. I would recommend the Cook Caboose for a quick, and filling meal in Cloudcroft NM.

I made my first visit to the Caboose today and ordered the burrito that had brisket eggs and other items. It was a monster and reasonably priced. The first bite was a taste of heaven. I have never tasted a burrito of this quality. Best flavor ever!! I can’t say enough about the flavor. Wow !! I’ll start making a regular stop at this little caboose.

A absolute must!! I at a breakfast burrito and let me tell you it was so big and so good. I couldn’t finish because of the amount of you get! The owners also run this and I had also such a great experience and conversation with them. You clearly taste the love and compassion in their food! I highly recommend this Cloudcroft gem!

Ordered cheeseburgers for take out. The burgers were still hot when we got back to the cabin. These were the best cheeseburgers that we have had in a long time. The meat was thick and juicy and covered the whole bun. It was like a double meat burger anywhere else. No skimping on the lettuce, tomatoes, and onions either. The burgers were served with a bag of chips. We will definitely be back to try the tacos and burritos. I’ve seen good reviews for them too.

The 5-star rating makes perfect sense. Straight forward, gigantic, bacon, green chili burrito with potatoes and cheese. Really, really good and reasonably priced considering the size. Any rational person would split one with a friend. Best part? The obviously homemade salsa (chilé) is fresh and delicious! I wanted twice as much and a jar to take home. That’ll do Cook Caboose, that’ll do.
