What a great spot! We were staying at Camp Hatteras and wanted some pizza! Lisa’s was closed on Tuesday so we decided to give Dough Shack a try. We drove our golf cart close and walked the last 75 yards. We ordered at the self serve kiosk, really easy and convenient because the counter was busy! While we waited we actually met the owner, supper nice and fun to talk with, as my kids were trying to bribe me into getting doughnuts the owner actually comped me a dozen, my kids were thrilled, I tried to pay for them but he insisted. The pizzas were nice, fresh, and tasty. Got to watch the kitchen work while we waited, great staff! Hard to decide if I’ll order delivery next time or just stop back in, I don’t think I’ll be wrong either way! Great to have another option in Rodanthe!

We ordered a couple of pizzas, when I went to pick them up they had an oven issue so the pizzas were partially done. They weren’t able to finish them, so I offered to take them as is and finish cooking them back at the house. They felt really bad so they also gave me a refund. Hope they got things fixed quickly as they got some of the best pizza on the island.

Super yummy donuts AND good pizza! So nice to have this place around in waves. We got a dozen donuts, half cake, half yeast, for our group and really enjoyed them-the icing is great. Pizza is really good too, a little basic and expensive but can’t go wrong with pizza.

We can’t speak to the atmosphere since we had delivery. However, the person who took my order was super friendly, the delivery was fast, and the food was yummy. We ordered an Italian sausage and pepperoni pizza and a Caesar salad. Pizza was great!!!

I’m gonna rack this pizza as a top 3 personal favorite!! Got a margerita and pepperoni (along with a dozen mixed donuts because why not) and hit the beach. If you’re in the area it’s a great place to stop and try.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and got some subs. Chicken parmesan sub with fries was nicely flavored and not smothered in marinara. Extra side of Marinara included for dipping. Got an order of mild wings and was surprised by the nice flavor (tangy sauce with a hint of heat). My limited experience of wings locally but these are the best so far. Daughter said donuts were yummy! Cute little place with limited seating, probably quicker to call your order in ahead of time. But a souvenir shop nextdoor to kill time if necessary. Will definitely return to try the pizza next!
