Ask for crispy bacon home fries toast and a cup of sausage gravy for my potatoes. I received burnt bacon no potatoes no gravy and Italian sausage I didn’t order! Don’t go there. There’s other places that will give you what you ordered and not bun it! The toast was good though. Overpriced for the wrong meal!

So we have to say that we love the food for the most part here. It’s like always Thanksgiving here. We enjoy ordering the family meals. They give large portions and it is definitely tasty. Our server was awesome this time around. She was very on it. Our drinks were constantly full, she checked in on us regularly. But I have to take stars off for two things. It is very inconsistent here and we almost left after waiting for almost 10 minutes to be seated. There were 6 employees at the counter talking and they saw us wait by the “wait to be seated sign” but none of them seemed to feel like it was their job to seat us or get someone who could. Then the manager/owner? Came out and saw us and went on with other work instead. We decided to leave and he caught us at the door to convince us to stay. It’s a nice quaint location, but we have had some of the best and worst experiences here. I wish that it was more consistent.

Hub and I were driving by stopped in for a quick lunch as he hadn’t eaten yet. I already had breakfast so wasn’t hungry. Such a pretty set up but… empty and musty smelling. Around 12:30 and not a soul there. Then the elderly host comes out and seats us, leaving us with older, not too clean, menus. Only one other couple in the place, who shortly left. I’m starting to think we made a mistake stopping there. Then the sweet middle aged waitress comes out. We order coffee & tea. Then I ask if I can share hub’s Amish sampler (figuring I’d just snag a drumstick). I normally get my own plate but know there will be an extra charge – no big deal, understandable, but I really wasn’t hungry. “Sure, you can share, but there will be a $13 extra charge for sharing.” Wow! OK, “no thank you. Just the check please.” Yes, I do see why the extra charge as some people gorge at the salad bar, I wasn’t even planning to go there. Place was creeping me out as was, at this point I just wanted out. Suddenly the extra charge changes to eleven dollars. Sooo…. 2 for her, 6 something for the tea & coffee and lesson learned. If the place is empty at 12:30 in the afternoon, there is a reason, but they also shouldn’t gouge the rare suckers that wander in.
