Anderson’s Diner is my go to spot for a home cooked/soul food meal! Of course, like any other food establishment, they have their good days as well as bad days, but overall, it’s a decent meal. I usually order the pork chop plate with collard greens & black eyed peas! The cornbread is amazing! The servers usually provide generous portions so it’s well worth the money! If you plan on going on a Sunday, be prepared to wait a while (that’s a busy day for them)…overall, I highly recommend this business!

My friend Jean picked me up some dinner today 8/2/2023. My order consisted of cabbages, pig feet and black eyed peas. The pig feet and peas was extremely salty and upon me trying to eat them gave me a headache. I paid $17.00 for food that could not be eaten. Jean took it back and they claim they could not refund my money. In this day and time I don’t have $17 to throw away Because I’m Disabled And On A Fixed Income. I WILL NEVER SUPPORT THIS RESTAURANT AGAIN EVEN IF I AM STARVING! You Serve Bad Food And All You Can Do Is Offer More Bad Food!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME EATING AT ANDERSON DINER. Im not sure who is cooking in there now but the dressing is sooo mushy on the inside I added baked chicken gravy and it was like mashed potatoes, the Mac n cheese tastes bland now also. The food used to be good I haven’t been in months so it may just have been a bad day. The 2 stars are for the greens, which are always good to me but I definitely wasted $12.

Hands down best soul food in Macon. I like to go right around lunch time. Could make a meal out of the collards alone, ask em to throw some okra on your collards next time as well. Turkey wings slap every single time! Pro tip soak your corn bread in the turkey wing juices. If you ever get there right after they pull out some fresh fried pork chops, do yourself a favor and order those.

Don’t go in the rain, ceiling leaks all over- makes you wonder what’s really happening in back of the house. You could hear yelling and screaming from the back of house. Service is very slow on sundays.

Excellent turkey wings, neck bones, baked chicken, pork chops, collards, black eyed peas, rutabagas, green & lima beans. Try and get here when the food is fresh during peak hours, especially if you’re going for fried. If not during peak hours then getting something baked/stewed. I come here as often as possible. Fair warning, you may need to take a nap after your meal.
