This was our first time here. It was great! The good was amazing. There was a lot, so I ended up with seconds later in the evening. The service was impeccable. It just had a welcoming home feel to it as well! We will be stopping by again when our travels take back that way.

This was our first time eating here. Let’s just say we were very impressed. We were worried at first due to nobody else being there. This place is a diamond in the rough. My husband ordered the Barney burger and I got the daily special which was chicken dressing, green beans and sweet potatoes. Peach cobbler for dessert it was by far the best peach cobbler I’ve ever ate. Gadsden Alabama definitely needs to support this business. We will definitely eat here again. My husband hardly ever eats a whole burger, he finished this massive burger

My Husband and are OTR truck drivers… this place is right next a truck stop. I am so glad we tried it!! We had dinner and lunch the next day. Every thing we tried we loved. Shrimp are fantastic! A family owned establishment- if their Grandma brought in cakes- GET SOME. This place is a GEM! Friendly service, great food, and the bartender has an amazing voice when she sings with the music.

Don’t overlook this place because you have never heard of it or it just looks old/average from the outside. The food was amazing. Prepared fresh onsite. Steak was amazingly cooked exactly as requested. The portion sizes were very generous. The onion rings are freshly breaded and are phenomenal. They don’t want you to leave hungry. The staff is friendly, courteous and very quick and helpful. This is a small town place right off the interstate that should be in everyone’s list to stop and try at least once!

Definitely a good place to eat. We ordered steak, my wife’s was perfect. Mine was under, but still okay. So much gristle and unrendered fat on mine though. The server/bartender/ hostess was amazing and helpful. The brussel sprouts are amazing. Might try again.

We were there to see a concert a few minutes away. We got in late on Thursday evening and was hungry but didn’t want to travel far. We made the right decision. We were seated immediately. Our server was also the bar tender and she made a mean slightly Dirty Martini. The menu made our decision difficult. We started with the fried pimento cheese balls. The sauce was AMAZING! I got a burger and it was delicious. My boyfriend got the patty melt and he couldn’t say enough about it. The food and the service was great! I wish I took more pictures

Patty Melt is to die for! No frozen beef patties here! Sooo good! Two hand patties totaling an inch thick at least!!! The Stromboli is 2nd to none! Fresh ground beef, fresh mushrooms, grilled onions and brown gravy and the French bread it is on is out of this world!!! If ya don’t stop here, you’re losing out!!! Our server was fantastic as well! 10/10 ⭐️

What a great place! This is down home southern cooking at its finest! Had the chicken fried chicken with mashed pots and green beans and it was perfect. Hand breaded chicken and it was huge! Gravy over the top and the gravy was great. Wife had a burger sans bun and fries and raved about both! Our waitress, Jennifer S., did a superb job and the bartender changed to TV channel to the NCAA’s for me! All in all a great experience! Would def recommend and will most certainly go back!

Would suggest updating the online menu for those like me who like to “order ahead” by browsing on the way. You get set on something then get told it’s not there which as someone who works in the food industry I understand the constraints on getting certain ingredients ATM. That’s why updating the menu should be important for guest experience. Sweet tea needs more sugar (don’t worry you’re not alone there but we are in the south). We started with the fried pickle basket {basketful not certain number} (not pictured) light battered and bottom of basket filled with grease, suggest getting some metal bowls to drop from fry basket to before serving so drips some off. Good but could be better. We also had the mozzarella sticks{8ct ate before we got the pictures so snagged a picture from another review seems they gave more then but charge more now thanks } nothing spectacular but was hot and the dipping marinera was sweet and tasty. For entrees we had the kids Alfredo, portion size enough for 2 kids, the chicken tender platter (chicken was breaded nicely and good crunch but under seasoned for fried chicken you gotta season the batter and the chicken before and after cook) , avocado bacon burger {not pictured because it wasn’t pretty} the avocado was requested on the side which was a teaspoonful, if wondering, with steak fries ( had to trade for reg fries as the steak fries were gross tasted like reheated fries) (the burger was dry and the bacon {I like crispy} was rock hard and didn’t break apart but would break a tooth if you let it, Barney’s burger my son loved it loaded with everything and jalapeno peppers, the last entree we had at our table was the 14oz ribeye cooked medium rare with the bacon brussel sprouts (ate before pictured speaks for itself) and broccoli. The steak if compared on a scale waffle house (low) to longhorn (generic steakhouse) not going to list a tip tier because it’s no where to that level here. I’d say fell in the middle not the best but not the worst. Wouldn’t go out of the way for. If you advertise prime steak you should have better than choice. Prices on some items were over exaggerated but family of 5 with 2 appetizers, 5 entrees, and 5 sodas $97. Had a selection of TV’s going basketball, ant man, abc, music channel (thankfully muted) and next leve chef {with the volume because everyone sitting at the bar was watching it myself included}. Patrons were quiet us prob being the exception as my kids shouldn’t go out. Atmosphere was rustic downhome yes and the service was better than most places, food wait wasn’t that long given what was being prepared. {Sad face above the loss of the turkey club though that bacon would’ve ruined it} 3/5 entrees ate completely 2/2 appetizers. They do have options though from soups and salads, burgers and sandwiches, filet, ribeye, ny strip, shrimp sev ways, pastas, and country fried chicken , hamburger steaks & pork chops. But for the picky eater if burgers are your go-to not one to try.
