We use to go to their Palisades Park and Flushing location often but starting ordering takeout at their Fort Lee location. Their prices have started steadily rising over the years which is understandable but the portions are shrinking too. Their bibimbobs are so small they look like they have been half eaten. Food is still good but wish portions were not so stingy for some of their items.

Can a restaurant be tranquil? This one was, plus the service was spot on and the juk (Korean porridge) was delicious. We had the Sam Gye Juk and the Hae Mul Juk.

Picked up the pine-nut porridge. Quite waterly as pinenut shake. I never had a like waterly pinenut porridge before. It doesn’t need a spoon. Just drink it!

I’m a big fan of Bonjuk since living in S. Korea. The prices of porridge seem a bit high ($17 for the Vegetable). But since it’s in the Fort Lee area, I understand that the business needs to factor in its monthly rent into their menu prices. The owner was very friendly and the porridge does come with side dishes. Overall, not bad and I’m super glad it’s close by where I live.
