Came across Sal’s Howdaj after taking a wrong turn. It was the best wrong turn I’ve had in a long time. Service was great and food was delicious! The owner served us and he was very nice! The tea was amazing (one of the owners has been working to perfect it for years)! The falafels are amazing! My friend and I will be back again soon.

Hands down some of the best food in Boise. The kebabs are incredible and not dry at all. Tip: eat the bread quick while it’s soft and warm bc it does harden a little.

Great food! Little hole in the wall place run by a father son duo so if they’re busy they might be a little slow but food was well worth the wait. First time trying middle eastern food but was a great fist experience. Will definitely be back to try more!

This was our first time and our experience couldn’t have been better! Our food was awesome and the welcoming service might have been even better! Sal treats everyone as if they’re a valued guest in their own home and truly finds delight in your enjoyment of the food. My wife got the Chicken Tawook and I got the Combo Plate. Both were out of this world! The Lentil Soup was so good there just aren’t words to describe it…and the hummus! There wasn’t a thing on our table that wasn’t experience worthy. So, if you want topnotch food, fantastic service…all at a great price, give them a try! This is a local restaurant that deserves our support!

The best service and most friendly staff in Boise mixed with some of the best Mediterranean/Middle Eastern food in town! A combination that can not be beat. It is off the main road behind the car dealership so it takes a moment to find. You will not leave unhappy.
