Sorry not sorry. I stopped being a fat kid and wanted something sweet. Why not peach cobbler. Simply put, it was horrible. Taste like mashed up cornbread with about two peaches. You do get a scoop of ice cream. That was good. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND.

Food was above average, store was reasonably clean and the service was fast and friendly. They have lunch specials and menu prices are fairly reasonable. Brunswick Stew was one of the better I have ever had. Table had sweet, mild and hot BBQ sauce. I couldn’t tell a difference between mild and hot, but the flavor was good. Most of the parking lot is a loose sandy gravel and is quite dusty when it’s dry. Parking lot access from 22 and North Star, so in and out isn’t too bad, even when traffic is heavy. Has indoor and outdoor seating and offer catering services.

The rib plate for 1299 does not disappoint. You will not leave hungry. The burger is outstanding. The only reason I did not write this place hire for atmosphere is the guy is a gator fan Geaux tigers.

First time there. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. The food was good, although the pork was a little dry for my sandwich. As hot as it was outside, they could have had the air conditioning a little cooler. It was warm in the building, won’t dine-in again until fall.

Green beans with the bacon in it…spot on!! I dig the atmosphere. The actual seating area in the restaurant may be a bit limited, but that’s what makes it feel “cozy.” Ya feel like you’re in someone’s home, which in a sense, you are. It wasn’t very busy when I picked up my order, but the sense of urgency the staff exhibited, you’d think they were. No lolligagging. Professionalism at its peak. This business gained another patron.

Made order wrong. Drove over 20 minutes each way to get food. Got home and it was not correct. Called back and said come in any time to get a replacement. Today called and the lady that answered said she wasn’t replacing my food. She would only make sure it was made right today. Never going back. When your craving something and go out of your way to get it and don’t get it. They should take care of it like the girl said she would. Rude and horrible management.

I love the food, but there most definitely is a few questionable waitresses that just puts tips on your credit card without consent. I placed a cash tip in the jar for my togo order and needless to say they placed a $4 additional tip on my card. Its only $4 but I did not authorize that and its actually fraud!

The food as always was Great the Presentation was terrible We were catering a dinner for our daughter Well they don’t do a package for 15/20 people so ordered 3 different picnic options (food was Great) but when we went to get after ordering 4 hours prior to pick up they had NO Sweet tea and subbed Veggies Well they got those wrong (Baked Beans was Brunswick Stew) Plus instead of Aluminum trays with Plastic Lids everything was in TOGO Boxes Very hard to feed 20 people out of a Styrofoam box Have bought many times this might be my last It did not live up to previous experience’s Don’t know if new management or what but was not what we are used to from this restaurant
