The service was fast and my sub was pretty good. I asked for it toasted… don’t like the fact the meat was still cold when I got it though. 5 out of 10 recommend… Its a cheaper version of Subsational if your familiar with the Whiteville area.

The wife and i tried Slugger’s Deli for the first time last Friday night. We found friendly service with recommendations and menu explanations readily available. The food was standard deli fare of sandwiches and salads. They have a few signature sandwiches like the Roast Pork Tenderloin sandwich. We had good food with a pleasant atmosphere. It’s good value and tasty food should be worth the trip to this location!

First time eating here today. I had the philly cheese sub. Well, two of them, I figured at $7.95, I’d need 2 to fill my large appetite. I love good food. I’m 210 lbs and only nibble on snacks during the day at work so I can pack it down at supper time. The size SURPRISED me though. Nice, thick subs with lots of meat! I’ve gotta say, it’s so hard to find good, quality food these days, anywhere. Sluggers Deli, you knocked it way out of the park, no pun intended. Lol. I’d recommend anyone who loves good food at good prices to eat here….DELICIOUS.

Good service. Excellent subs and always a friendly smile at the counter. Even better during all this ‘Rona nonsense is the fact that they care about their customers — and are open for DINE IN. Good food. Just will neve they a order right. I mean never. You asked for oil and vinegar on the side. They just give u cup and continue to put it all over. So it’s mush by the time it’s gets to you. That’s the most common request for a sub place. It’s common sense for to go orders ..great owner and food. Just the worst service ever. I would eat there every day if they would just get it right.

We were driving back from the beach to Ft. Bragg when we stopped for lunch at Sluggers’ Deli. Everything here was exceptional. We split a foot-long cheesesteak and it was so big that we took half of it home. And the homemade chips were amazing. However, what stands out the most is the service. Even as out-of-towners we were made to feel so welcome and the military discount was very appreciated. Whiteville has a true gem in this place.

The staff and owner/manager were helpful and very friendly. The food was delicious and served quickly. The waffle fries were better than Chick-fil-a’s. The prices can’t be beaten anywhere. We will DEFINITELY be eating here in the future on our way to and from the beach!
