Fabulous place, I’m so glad we gave it a try!! Deciding what to get was a bit intimidating because there was a lot to choose from and their online menu is in Spanish. I think their burritos are the best in town, the tamales were enormous, and the street corn was so much food. It’s not a huge place, but they do have some seating inside. The employee we dealt with was very kind and handled a borderline rude customer that came in behind us with grace. We will absolutely be going back!

The food I ordered was fresh and fast. 5 full stars. Outstanding tacos. I don’t speak Spanish so there was a bit of a language barrier for me. It was a bit difficult for me to know what was available and what I was ordering.

Best chile rellenos I have had since living in Tuscon, 20 years ago. The chile inside was perfect and stuffed with the best white cheese, and served correctly — NOT smothered in any weird sauce. I had given up ordering chile rellenos at restaurants here in the midwest. Best refried beans I have had in a very long time. Nothing but beans, salt, and a little fat. Very smooth. PERFECT! Can’t wait to go back. Oh and the horchata was delicious!!!

The tamale was huge but it wasn’t cooked all the way through. They said the burrito had lettuce, tomato, and cheese but I didn’t get any of that. The street tacos were good. Thinking maybe we went on a bad day since it has such good reviews.

We really liked our meals here. We did learn the hard way that the tamales are huge and that we should’ve just ordered one. The tostadas and tacos were yummy and the mangonada and jamaica agua fresca were so cold and delicious!

If you’re looking for a authentic Mexican meal that is packed with flavor look no further Lawrence! Didn’t know what to expect but geez we’re happy we stumbled upon it. It is pretty easy to pass by if you’re not looking for it but once you do you’ll go back for sure. If your focus is on ambiance and aesthetic then this might not be your place but if you’re looking for awesome food and friendly service this is a good one to check out.

Truly delicious and wholesome mom-and-pop shop offering a diverse menu of truly delicious as authentic Latin food and other quick snacks. The paletas are homemade ( y deliciosas), and I was genuinely impressed with the quesobirria tacos (& this is coming from a Mexican ;))

Best taco place in Lawrence/ Douglas County. Very kind staff and in friendly, warm environment. If you are ever having a bad day come here and get some tacos and it is guaranteed to brighten your day. Salsa Verde is top tier and I can say the same for the asada and the pollo.
