Chinese Imperial is a landmark in Manassas. A family business for at least 2 generations. The food is fantastic and the owner operators are very friendly. If you haven’t had their take out you owe it to yourself to try it before they are gone forever… Who knows what this economy and other encroaching businesses may do to small family operations like this.

About a week ago, my father went to pick up an order of fried rice from this place. As he was handing over his card to pay for his food, a cockroach comes out crawling on the countertop… & the cashier quickly slammed her hand on the roach & killed it. My father asked in disbelief what that was & the lady confidently said “a roach”. My father is a nice man & didn’t report this to any health inspector but this restaurant definitely lost a loyal client. Which is sad because this was my dad’s favorite Chinese food place in Manassas. But this is my father’s warning to everyone who reads this.

I’ve been ordering from here since high school, and it’s still the only Chinese food restaurant I’ll order from in the area! The food is always hot and tasty; they always accommodate my substitutions, and they’ve finally extended their hours a bit. It’s unfortunate that you can no longer eat in, but at least they didn’t shut down completely!

got the sweet n sour chicken, sauce was good, fried rice just ok and dry. more breading on chicken than chicken. the last piece of chicken in my box was wrotten, which made me question everything i just ate. will/would never go here again. 1st and last time

my to go orders are usually moo shu chicken/pork and lo mein. Tonight I also ordered crispy beef. What I love about this place is i can eat an entire entree and not get a food coma, or get that bloated tired feeling. It’s neither oily nor full of msg — which I am sensitive to, and having an autoimmune disorder, my body has strong reactions to pretty normal stuff. it feels downright healthy and everything I ordered was delicious, as usual.

O zero stars..I ordered 4 dishes from this restaurant, and every dish was over salted, in fact they were not fit human consumption. I called back on Wednesday and asked for the Manger and was told he is out of town. When I asked to speak to the person in charge I was told what do you want? I was told that it was my mistake for not bringing the food back the same day, well they were closed and also they were closed on Monday. When I insisted on speaking with someone the person said she was busy and ended the call. If you want good food and good service this place should your last choice. Or if you are suffering from health issues …..they have associated favor salting…… stay away

Food is decent but service is awful. This time around I called for delivery and she asked how much for tip, I said not on card and she then proceeded to shout at me that delivery is not free. I let her know I was tipping in cash and she ended the call. It seems like every time I call there is some sort of argument. Oh and by the way when I asked for the total and questioned the pricing she said yeah our prices went up! Worst part is this is the owner of the restaurant.
