The food and service here were fantastic! Chef Luciano does it again with another amazing restaurant that we all absolutely love and have visited numerous times. The Palomino spicy pasta has the perfect heat to it and the Cacio e Pepe is so delicious. The potatoes were the perfect side for what we wanted. The beet salad was really good and our drinks were phenomenal. Our waiter James was super helpful with recommendations of beverages, like suggesting a reposado versus Blanco and a better Cabernet Sauvignon, that I must’ve missed on the menu. All in all, food was excellent and service was even better.

Yesterday evening was my first time trying out Casa Pernoi after hearing so much good about it. The staff was very warm, welcoming, and knew their jobs well. I sat bar side having Chris as my main bartender/waiter. He was great and I will request him everytime! I opted for the Verlasso Salmon entree, an order of their fresh bread, a glass of Pinot Grigio and afterwards a French 75 (hands down the best French 75 I’ve ever ordered by the way). All were good and well balanced. I was lucky enough to have ran into the owner; also a great guy. My overall experience was great and I will certainly be back to try more menu items.

Where do I begin? First time at CP and it was spectacular! For drinks we ordered Dirty Martinis and Whiskey sours. The Dirty Martini was good but not the best, on the other hand the Whiskey sour was very good and strong the way I like it. Here comes the yummy part… For appetizer we ordered the meatballs which were killer good, not too salty and cooked to perfection. For dinner we ordered the pasta with vodka cream/chicken and it was the best I’ve ever had. Visiting from Chicago we have restaurants that make a mean vodka cream, but I must say this is my #1 pick. We also ordered Fettuccini Al Tartufo with truffle and it was a winner. The truffle made the dish very tasty. We also ordered a sausage with peppers also very good. We ordered the cauliflower and it was a let down. Very bland and not tasty. Other than the cauliflower we were all very pleased. Cannot wait for the next time I’m in Michigan to try Casa Pernoi again. Thanks

I went to this restaurant on Tuesday evening and enjoyed the food, I had the shrimp alfredo and the bread were both good. The mango margarita the waiter suggested was great. My waiters name was Justin and he was very friendly and attentive. He said he was newer to the restaurant but he seemed like he had been there for a while. I will definitely go back and I hope he is the server again.

The best pasta I have ever had. All of the pasta and bread is made in house. The sourdough was incredible, and the mushroom pasta was truly out of this world. I also appreciate that you can do half orders of many of their pasta to be able to try different things. I don’t remember what we ordered for dessert, but I do remember that it was also delicious. We had an incredible server as well (I believe his name was Jason and he’s also the sommelier). One of the best fine dining experiences I’ve ever had.

My best dining experience by far. The ambiance is amazing, very knowledgeable and extremely friendly staff. From the minute we walked in we were greeted with a huge smile and were shown to our table. We ate for probably the fifth or sixth time here the other night and as usual the bread was phenomenal. I thought about it all day and it didn’t disappoint. Although they seemed to be out of the olive bread, the sesame bread was a great substitute. My only issue was my entrée. While my guests loved their entrées of the eggplant and spicy rigatoni and had big portions, I had about seven spanakopita raviolis in my bowl. I was very thankful I didn’t restrain myself on the bread because I think I would’ve left hungry otherwise. While their flavor was good the edges were undercooked. At least service was very attentive and the atmosphere as usual was great.

Excellent meal! Loved all the food, especially the softshell crab. Great atmosphere and one can book a table inside or out. Prices are not cheap but not out of line either for an upscale restaurant. After an initial delay, service was excellent and professional. Highly recommend.

I have been going to this restaurant since it opened. The food and staff are top notch. Xhoana is an excellent hostess who is always so kind and professional. Suela is the best bartender is Birmingham. I do all my pharmaceutical dinner programs here, and I highly recommend Pernoi for a fine Italian dining experience.
