Stopped in for lunch with the family. The biscuits and blueberry jelly were incredible. I had a famous fried chicken honey dusted and the chicken tortilla soup. Both were good but nothing exceptional. My wife had the famous chicken sweet and spicy and has a similar opinion. My son had the chicken and waffles and he enjoyed his meal. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was nice. Overall a good place for lunch.

The food was amazing and our server was a queen! She was on top of everything and had great suggestions! I’ve wanted to eat here for years but never wanted to do the wait to get in! It’s well worth it, everything we got was amazing and was so good we were sharing and trying each other’s food! Amazing portions and delicious food! We will be going back for sure!

I can’t say enough good things about our experience here! Between the beautiful patio seating, a wonderful waitress that answered every question, and killer food this place is a 12/10! We tried the blueberry lemonade mimosa and the blood orange mimosa and they were so refreshing and tasty. Perfect ratio! My husband enjoyed the Old Skool bowl and I had the classic chicken and waffles. Both meals were full of flavor and cooked to perfection. We will for sure be recommending this place to everyone!

On Mothers Day we decided to give Tupelo Honey a try for a afternoon lunch. Like other Asheville Restaurants, the place was crowded but we had made reservations. We were seated immediately. We took some time to look over the menu closely. Evidently, the fried chicken and the Shrimp and Grits are the leading sellers. I ordered a 1/2 chicken and my wife ordered the smothered chicken. Both dishes were flavorful. We could not finish either of our meals so we packed up the leftovers. Overall, we found the service superior and the food better than most. My chicken was a bit more peppered than I expected. My wife seemed to enjoy her meal but noted the baked Mac and Cheese seemed a bit dry. Overall we had great service and good food. Recommended.

We stop at this place cause our daughter wanted to give it a try . The atmosphere was nice. Plenty of seating tables and booths. I had the southern sweet and spicy fried chicken sandwich and I didn’t leave any leftovers so that should tell you about the sandwich . My daughter had the chicken and waffles and she raved about it. Prices were reasonable they have a decent drink menu I tried a local IPA beer . The service was good the bathroom was clean . There is no parking in premises you need to find street parking or local public parking lot . But if you are on the area and thinking of a place to eat give them a try .

What a discovery! The spicy cauliflower bites were spot on. They were light and absolutely delicious. We also ordered the hot chicken with the Mac and cheese waffle. The chicken was moist and crispy, and the waffle was the perfect accompaniment. The garlic buttermilk Ranch drizzle ordered on the side was so flavorful that I think it should be bottled. Finally, the pecan mini drizzled with dark chocolate was the perfect ender, nutty with the sweet note from the maple brown sugar filling.

We had a great meal at Tupelo Honey. I was visiting Asheville with 2 girlfriends. We all had fried chicken and two of us had the Brussels sprouts that were delicious and one had Mac and cheese which was also good. Definitely recommend.

Overall: Nice southern cuisine with a charming bee themed atmosphere, although the food was extreme in salt, spice, or sweetness depending on the item.

5 STAR SOUTHERN HOMECOOKED FOOD! This was a very good find. We were simply walking around Ashville for the 1st time and noticed the name. The name caught my attention as Tupelo Honey is one of my favorite songs by Van Morrison. The restaurant is a good size and was 3/4 full at 2:30pm on a Tuesday, which is a good sign. The hostess sat us immediately.
