Found another gem! Saatvik Foods serves delicious Indian food in a modest setting with reasonable pricing and TONS of vegan options! Everything was so flavorful. They also have many prepackaged options for takeout. Really enjoyed this spot and the people who work there. Very friendly folks. Will definitely return!

Amazing vegetarian Indian cuisine. Changing daily. Grey spice level. The owner is a renounced chef. We love this spot and go there every opportunity we are in the area.

San Diego’s most genuine Indian cuisine! The menu is particularly vegetarian and vegan-friendly.

We ordered a cup of chai/tea, Kachori (lilva), dabeli, vadapav, and panipuri. Everything was okay in taste. Vadapav and dabeli had the same paav/bread and they weren’t fresh so that was disappointing. Somehow their food felt a little stale maybe they used a bad quality of oil to fry/cook the meal. Their tea and panipuri was good but nothing exceptional.

We tried their misal pav and it was below average. Not only did it taste weird, the spices made my throat scratchy and gave me a burning sensation in the stomach. The service was fast but the people working there didn’t even say a word to us and had us wait for minutes before they took the order. They served food in paper plate (I haven’t seen any other place do that). Wouldn’t go there again.

Food is delicious, fresh, and authentic. Not too spicy comparatively. Friendly and casual atmosphere. We had the full thali, potato paratha, dhokla and mango lassi. And we got methi roti, motichor, and kandvi to go and all were really good. Prices are reasonable for the portion size. I highly recommend the thali because that will have the curries that are freshly made that day and give you a few different things to taste.

With some sitting inside the restaurant, perfectly crafted dishes are served hot and fresh. In my opinion, Sattvik is the only Indian establishment in the San Diego area that is better and cleaner. This restaurant is strictly vegetarian and has a cozy atmosphere while serving high-quality
