I don’t think I’ve ever reviewed this place before and I don’t know why. It’s near my house, so eating there could be a matter of convenience, but it just isn’t, because I’d drive an hour to eat it! Very fresh and consistently delicious, El Chavo delights every single time. My only complaint is that they are cash only and I NEVER have cash. Probably good or I’d give them all of my money. I highly recommend El Chavo, if you haven’t tried it, do it asap. The shrimp salad is amazing, the fish tacos are my favorite, and I’ve heard great things about the pork tacos. Worth every cent and very friendly owners. 10/10 every time.

Tacos stacked on tacos. Huge carne list. Al pastor was ok, carnitas was very good (my favorite), chorizo was good and the Chicharrones was spicy and fatty (just like it should be). Good little taco truck with a large menu. Priced well and they have two good types of salsa verde. Both with great flavor. The one called Diablo has a bit of heat to it. Great place to grab some lunch.

She loves the shrimp tacos! He loves the el pastor tacos! Tacos come with grilled onions on the side and a grilled spicy jalapeño. A side of red sauce and green. Just enough lemon wedge. So yum!

This taco truck has the best Carne Asado in Boise. The meat is packed with flavor and tender. The prices are very good! Attached is a picture of Carne Asado Nachos for only $8.50. You have try this family Taco truck on Overland just before Vista on the right side.

The sign literally says, “Best Street Tacos.” It’s not a lie – these tacos SLAP. Moved up to Boise from Southeast Texas, where Tex-Mex is plentiful and there’s a taco truck on every corner. These tacos from El Cavo are comparable to any taco I had in Texas. Authentic street tacos, among other delicious menu items, and top-notch service. It’s not easy to come by a quality Mexican/Taco option in Idaho, so look no further than Chavo!

I mean 2 years later & STILL RECOMMENDED over any place around for tacos/burritos/ whatever Mexicano craving ur looking to satisfy! This is by far the best. So fresh so fast & still budget friendly!! This has become my go-to “taco truck,” and I called it that for a reason. It is a taco truck, and well, after several years in San Diego County, the roadside trucks were the best. You got that here. I’ve eaten there now about 4 times, and I’ve yet to be disappointed with the flavor and authenticity.

Absolutely, by far the best in all of Ada County. If you have the chance to eat at El Chavo, you must. I will never again have to travel to Nampa or Caldwdwell for extraordinary Mexican Food. I can’t say enough great things about the fresh, delicious food we enjoyed last night. Try the Diabla sauce. If you dare.
