What a restaurant! We found this place randomly along the H Street corridor, and the food and drinks were fantastic

Would recommend the quiche/salad (perfectly dressed) combo for a late brunch. It’s cheesy and delicious. I’m not sure what they did, maybe it’s a searing iron but the top was crisped beautifully with the gooey cheese and egg on the inside. I’m still thinking about it.

Stable is one of the best and most underrated restaurants in DC. I’ve been there over ten times, for breakfast, brunch, and dinner. The fondue is excellent, but so are their regular entrees and drinks. Some of my favorite things are the cheese plate starter, the cheese laugen and all other baked goods, the quiche, and the fondue.

Delicious food! Decent service. Love the barn house seating area that allows you to enjoy a private dining experience with family and friends. The reason that I’m giving it four stars rather than five is because the waiter forgot to serve one of our drinks towards the end, and the portion of the seared scallops seemed relatively small compared to the other dishes. If the group hadn’t ordered appetizers, I may have been hungry at the end. My only other critical feedback is diversifying the cheese board appetizer. I recall being a bit surprised that only one type of cheese was served. Switzerland is known for it’s selection of cheese and I would have like to tried other options as well. I came for the experience and curiosity of trying food from another culture. For a fine dining restaurant, I expected a bit more. Overall, I liked the presentation and concept of the food and dining experience. And, I appreciate having a Swiss restaurant in town. It’s a great place to enjoy a nice Swiss meal!

Great service and food is pretty good. The fondue is tasty but only comes with bread – getting other sides is extra (and you can’t get a mix of them – like a side of a bowl of potatoes or a bowl of apples or a bowl of pickles) and would have liked more variety. We purchased some extra – the apples and potatoes – the potatoes were a little hard and completely flavorless (needed some salt in my opinion) – still tasted too plain even in the cheese. The table is a little small to not feel cramped. Overall, it was a good experience but we probably won’t go back. For dinner in the $$$ range, I would expect to leave with a fully satisfied belly!

Excellent service. I love that you had your own little curtained “room”. Covid updates actually made this very cool, so you have a lot of privacy. We had the Raclette brunch. It is quite an experience and also a ton of food. There were 4 of us and we had left over everything! There must have been at least a pound of cheese and a basketball size bucket of potatoes. This was a new experience for me and fun to try something different. You get to cook your own cheese in your own little pan. I like their spice mix…not sure what’s in it, but it was good. The little pickles had a very interesting flavor-?fennel. Pickled onions & cabbage to add on. Almost forgot the yummy salad with a wide variety of greens and nice vinaigrette that you get to start off.

Only took one picture, but everything was delicious!!! From the table bread, appetizers and of course the yummy main courses, followed by dessert. We had the pan seared scallops and the venison, which come highly recommended as does the chocolate mousse.
