Our first time here and celebrating my son’s birthday. The atmosphere was relaxed, music was a vibe, server was friendly and suggested great food on menu. The food we had was delicious. Originally was going to try the Cuban Fried Rice but decided to try something else. I heard there Cuban Fried rice was the best in Charlotte so we’ll definitely try that when we come back. The place is located in locally owned food district and love that they’re within walking distance from each other.

I can see why this place is so busy. Food was really good. At first the portion didn’t seem like enough but it was perfect. The staff are hustlin! They seem organized and communicate well. Bartender made my drink and it was very well balanced and refreshing. We didn’t wait long at all for our food. Can’t recall the name of our dishes but everything was very good. I just know I got an Asian fusion type of rice dish. It was hittin. It has a fairly nice atmosphere inside to match. This is one of the rare must try places in Charlotte in my opinion.

Tasty food with great sauces. Croquettes (come with five) are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Perfect starter to share. Sandwich was missing my side solterito salad but DoorDash cleared that up quickly. Can’t wait to try the key lime pie I have waiting for me in the fridge.

I ended up at Calle Sol for an impromptu meal during Charlotte Restaurant Week since I was already in the Midwood area. I was amazed by the food and beverages as well as the stellar service. The classic look and feel of the restaurant is reminiscent of many latin food restaurants in NYC, Miami, and the Caribbean.

The Lechon Guisado was absolutely mindblowing! The pork is cooked for 24 hours and it is exploding with flavor. The Yuka was so good, my wife ordered an additional side “there is a party in my mouth” she said.

Calle Sol is straight up fire!! We have been here several times and each time, we’ve been blown away by the food. The Cubano is delicious and it’s just as good as any Cuban I’ve had in South Florida. All of the appetizers are incredible! Again, you won’t be disappointed in this menu! There’s something for everyone.

Calle Sol Latin Café brings some good Latin flavor to North Carolina. It’s not the best I’ve had, but outside of Miami and a few other places, it’s hard to beat. There are a few tweaks service, presentation, and quality that would really improve things.

Yum yum yum!!! The food here is HEAVEN!!!! Soooo delicious, so fresh, and the combination of flavors is perfection! The waiters and managers are so attentive and always around in case you need anything. I loved how they would continuously check in on us throughout our entire visit. Would recommend 100% if you are in the area…or even if you’re not 🙂

Very interesting menu of Latin flair added to Asian noodle dishes. We ordered a plate of mariquitas nachos and yucca huancaína as appetizers. They were both delicious, though in hindsight, we should have just ordered the smaller portion of mariquitas since we were also ordering an entree. For dinner, my husband had the tallerin with chicken and I had the masitas de puerco. He enjoyed his dish and thought it was well made. Mine was delicious — the pork belly was very succulent. I didn’t end up finishing all of the rice and beans as the portion was large. I’d definitely return, though would try something else. We were dining with a friend who was vegetarian & she found that the menu had good options for her. We sat outside at the smaller, bar tables. The metal stools were a little uncomfortable after a time and it was a little awkward with the close proximity to the parking lot.
