Founded in 2016, we have been blessed to grow from our first location in the heart of the Entertainment District of McAllen to Uptown McAllen, Southtown McAllen, Weslaco and Brownsville. My wife and I stopped in for dinner. We started with fried pickles (best in town) and then had fish tacos, and the tacos and wings. The Buffalo Parmesan wings are great, and tacos are really good as well. Drinks are also very good. Our waitress was very friendly and attentive. The entire experience was great. Already looking forward to coming back.

I went for brunch and it was packed! I was able to get a table because I got there earlier than most guests but it gets crowded fast. The food was okay. Nothing special. You can definitely get the brunch plates at a cheaper price somewhere else. I had the waffle and chicken tenders with a mimosa. The chicken was a bit hard. The mimosa was not so good because the orange juice tasted sour. I enjoyed the waffle with berries and syrup. I would’ve given it 4 stars but the service wasn’t the best. That’s the main reason I give it 3 stars. I understand it was packed but the waitress only came to the table twice, to take my order and to charge me. She never followed up to see if we needed refills. I was also observing how the other tables were not getting attended either. The environment was nicely decorated and clean.

My family and I had a great brunch today, considering the lights went off on us during the storm. The food was great a little long, but as expected, the restaurant was busy and had flickering power, but the drinks kept us going. We tried mimosas, Lonestar Lemonade, and Cucumber Refresher. My girls even had a alcohol FREE version of the cucumber refresher, and they loved it. It’s definitely a must try

Today was our first visit to Oak Texas Bar and Grill . We weren’t sure what to expect due to mixed reviews, but our dinner experience was great! We loved the environment, the service was excellent, plus the host and our waitress were friendly. Our drinks were brought to us in a timely manner. We enjoyed the Faji-Gringas, the Bistec Tacos, and the Mexican Street Corn. We will be returning!

The chicken fajitas are enough for two people. They tasted just like the ones at Chili’s. The beans were alright but the tortillas were raw and cold. The corn was good and had flavor.

My boyfriend and I went out for dinner. Food was great and service was great. Until, we asked for the check. Our server (Juan) gave us the total which amounted to more than what we expected to pay. I was about to leave tip, which is always 25% or more. I then asked if they had the option of 25% and he said no. I asked if he was sure because $4 was very low for the amount ($85). He then said he was sure and +7% was the highest percentage they offered for tip. I then asked for the receipt and he brought it acting as if he didn’t know the 20% gratuity was added which is only supposed to be added for parties of 6 or more. I was going to leave more than 20% but he lied so I left it as is. I was a server so I know that you need the managers approval to add gratuity to a tab. Manager obviously approved the gratuity knowing the table was only 2 guests. When we left I called the manger to let him know and he was nonchalant about the situation. MAKE SURE YOU CHECK YOUR TABS BEFORE LEAVING A TIP OR AN EXTRA TIP.

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Oak Texas Bar & Grill at the Brownsville location, and I absolutely loved the experience! Lauren was tending the bar, and I have to say that she is an absolute STAR! From the moment I sat down, she greeted me with a warm smile and made me feel welcome. She took the time to chat with me, asking about my preferences and making recommendations based on what I told her. Her personality made the experience very special, and the menu items are incredibly generous with their portions! The food is amazing and the drinks are very good. 5/5 stars.

Arrived around 10:20 am was greeted in and welcomed was sat to the table atmosphere was great service was great food didn’t take long to be placed infront of me I did order a beer and was not denied any beverage (alcoholic) coffe was available and good the only thing was not asked weather we wanted sugar ketchup salt pepper or any hot sauce I would have liked Arriving at the table with all this condiments already ready at table I would recommend having this things already available for brunch time and removed after bar hours but just remember they do have this things available as an option overall great experience felt welcomed and great food
