So we stopped here on our way home because of the rave reviews. Not much was good here. Only 2 people running the front. Seated quickly but that was it. Took awhile to get our beer order in and even longer to get our food order in. I opted for the kalua pig because I’m a huge kalua pig fan. We go to Hawaii once a year and we fill up on kalua pig and poke. This however is a roast pork. Desperately screaming for salt especially for a true kalua pig. Zero smoke and banana leaves flavor as well. The dipping sauce or whatever its supposed to be is a lot like teriyaki. Not something that goes with kalua pig. Mac salad was meh. I’m guessing its not made in house. There version is not even close to real Hawaiian kalua pig. Now if you want roast pork then here ya go. Plate was complete saturated in standing water as shown in one of my pictures.

Our waitress was friendly & greeted us promptly. The beers were tasty& cold on a hot day. We ordered from the appetizer menu. The slow cooked pork sliders & the pork street tacos both were delicious & very satisfying! Looking forward to going back.

The menu here is quite diverse—not your usual pub fare. Sometimes is a red flag when a small restaurant tries to do too much, but not the case here. Both of us were very pleased with our meals. The citrus hazy beer was a bit weird; at more than 8% ABV it was more like a fuzzy navel. Thankfully I wasn’t driving and I got to sleep all the way to Bend. Hah! Separate banquet room available too.

We moved to Madras 18 months ago and loved Madras Brewing from our 1st visit. Roberto is fantastic and his love for food and the community are evident. All staff are super and we love to visit with them. Nice to have found a neighborhood pub so quickly!

The wife and I stopped by for our first time the other day. We just wanted to grabbed some onion rings and a drink. The rings came to us very hot and crispy with a great dipping sauce, which had a nice kick of spice. So after relaxing in this beautiful environment and enjoying a cocktail we decided to order some more food. I ordered the Cubano and she got the Madras burgers. The burger tasted fresh and was cooked right. The bun was a spot on match to the meat and veggies as well. The Cubano was out of this world. I have not had pork this juicy and flavorful in 15 years. You don’t see this level of pork around here. I will be supporting this business from here on out you can bet that. Saying I was still thinking about the pork hours later is no understatement. Bravo to the staff, your pork is truly the most delicious in all of Central Oregon and made me miss home.

Good product for a good price
First time here, Classy Bar Pub Atmosphere, Indoor outdoor seating. Good food at a reasonable price. I had the Hickory Burger $14 with fries and my wife had spicey chicken sandwich. Both were good. Madras IPA beer $5 was good also the Tumalo hard cider $5. Was good. We would come back.

Clean atmosphere. We kind of knew what to expect once we sat down and saw the menu. The menu is all over: spaghetti, tacos, fish + chips etc. The Caesar salad was predictable and had a good amount of dressing. It came with a lot of grilled chicken (I cannot recommend the chicken). We also opted for the Cuban sandwich which came with frozen crinkle cut fries.

We have been here twice, we only came back the second time because we heard the management changed and the reviews were better more recently..

It was terrible. The service was friendly, but really slow and it took over an hour for our food to come out (we were travelling) Philly Cheese Steak was smothered with mayo. Buddy couldn’t eat it. My spicy chicken sandwich wasn’t spicy or tasty. My other friend had the Kailua pork. It was sub par. We tried it out and would not go back
