Great place to get even better fish. I always get the baked fish with the Garlic Cream sauce on top. Every though this place is quite pricey, the taste of the food is extraordinary. They also have a choice of a regular or a sweet potato as your side, which I greatly appreciate. 🙂

We have often gone to the Chowder House for lunch or dinner. In all the years we have always had great food, served by friendly staff. But their Valentine’s day event was absolutely wonderful. A small menu of starters and and a few delicious cocktails. It was the perfect way to go with a loved one for a memorable experience.

I haven’t been here in years. They had a good crowd. The wait time wasn’t long at all to be seated. The atmosphere was nice and the food was delicious. We all had the fish fry with sweet potatoes fries. Their gensing honey raseberry tea was “the key drink” for me!! It tasted so good. Our waitress was excellant!! Big Kodus to her I didn’t catch her name but she had a splash of red in her hair!! She was very prompt, professional & funny to which made a dining experience fantastic!!

Jim’s has been our favorite for years! We never tire of the freshest seafood and delicious specials. The prices stay reasonable and the portions stay big. The shrimp are always jumbo and the scallops are fresh. Anytime we crave fish fry or any seafood we make our way down. The problem is that the dining room is small and they don’t take reservations, which can be frustrating on a Friday night when you’re hungry. My advice get here early or go late, right before closing. Call for daily hours because they are limited in staff and vary their hours. Give this place a try – you won’t be disappointed

Ordered dinner for my family and cousin from out of town. The food was good, but I was severely disappointed with the food portions. My daughter’s kid shrimp meal had 3 shrimp. My seafood pirates platter was not at all what I expected a platter to be, especially for a $19 meal. I feel like the fries that came with all 7 meals were lacking. I was pretty bummed.

This was our 2nd time here first was before covid, we’re not exactly local & have to say we were totally disappointed ☹️arrived in time for lunch but the waitress took forever to take our order & we wanted soup & sandwich thats offered for lunch asked if we could still have it cx it was only 3 mins late & waitress said ☹️No, the computer changes over???? this older women made us wait & wait, the gentlemen seated us & gave us menu’s, she made us wait & wait some more, so by the time she recouped & got her $h-t together we lost out, so we ordered 2 soups to go & to be courteous a bowl of soup that we split. Soup was good but she couldn’t even be bothered given us appetizer in midterm, like s little bread!!

Fantastic place to cure your seafood cravings. We tried everything from the muscles, claims, haddock & even the scallops. Everything was fresh and the staff couldn’t be nicer! Amazing place to dine in! I took a pint of chowder to go, that’s how good it was!
