Order 1: So, I’ve been eyeing this joint since it burst onto the scene. Gotta say, they’re mixing it up for Bismarck with their menu choices. Oh, and let’s talk about that coleslaw – seriously, the bomb! But here’s the scoop: we dove into sandwiches, me tackling the Smokehouse and my better half going for the Turkey Club. Smokehouse? Yeah, pretty darn tasty, but the beef wasn’t playing nice with the bun’s density – had to evict the top bun for a smoother ride. Turkey Club? Decent, but it’s like your everyday turkey-lurking-in-your-fridge deal. Not worth the full buck they’re asking. Can’t wait to explore more bites on the menu, but sandwiches ain’t gonna cut it, folks.

Great ambience. Pretzels with jalapeño cheese dip and ground mustard was excellent, crab dip was good although I wish they would have buttered the baguette pieces less or toasted them off more. The jasmine rice with my seared tuna was not cooked through – it was crunchy and grainy (I know rice! It’s a staple for me!). Also, the sesame seeds overloaded the tuna and overwhelmed the tuna as they were a little overly toasted. Banana spice cake ($10 and worth it… it’s like 3 servings!) and S’mores was a hit. Another great hit was our server, Paul, who was very attentive and personable.

Tried the recently opened @thetaverngrill in Bismarck, ND. It was a nice bright open place that was very kid friendly. I had the New Orleans shrimp tchoupitoulas. It was really good some spice but not crazy hot; blackened nicely not at all over cooked. We had a number of apps including the crab artichoke dip and the Thai chicken lettuce wraps which were all really good.

Have been a couple times now and would give 5 stars for each visit. Sat at the bar had good drinks and friendly service. Lots of build your own options. Food was great and portions were big. Check out the cocktail list (the peach bourbon sour was very good)

I haven’t had such a pleasant experience at a restaurant in a while! Great service & amazing food (great taste and beautiful presentation). I especially loved the bruschetta & French onion soup. It was spendy, but so worth it for a date night! We also liked that we could check in online beforehand so when we got there we were seated right away. We will definitely be back!

Going for dinner, we did have to wait about 20 minutes before we were seated. The atmosphere is modern, and they have TVs and a bar area. Great for watching the games.
