Great find in Desert Hot Springs! Very affordable menu items, excellent and attentive service, and solid food. We had a window seat and enjoyed the natural light and mid-century vibes of the interior. Will definitely return next time we’re in the area.

Although I ordered take out, I really loved the place. They didn’t mess up my order and the food was really good. The server that took my order was also very nice and recommended me different types of food. The place looks a bit old; however, it was well maintained.

It’s dated, but looks remodeled. Friendly staff. Great service! Oriental chicken salad was tasty and good. Chicken was a little dry however. Fish and Chips were excellent! Fish fried to perfection. Fries were also fried perfect and seasoned perfect! Fast service. Iced tea was not fresh brewed and alright. Overall a nice lunch. Portions were decent size.

Absolutely amazing!! Shoutout to Eddie(y) for his fantastic table service. You can normally predict how good the overall service would be (yes even how good the food will be) based on the initial energy brought by the waiter. He was charismatic and courteous. Every waiter usually asks if you would like to start off which drinks, to which we ordered orange juice. Without questioning or asking, he speedily brought us our drinks as well as – WATER!!!! Its the little things like this kind of special attention that a customer like myself, truly enjoys and makes the experience that much more enjoyable. The food was AMAZING!!!! It was calm and had a vintage ambiance. I think I probably lived a different life in the ’30s – ’50s because places like this just bring out the life and happiness in me.

We have been here several times in the last couple of years. The food and service was always VERY hit or miss. However, there has recently been a change in management and it completely shows! Service and food were both superb! Everyone was so friendly and my breakfast was delicious. Desert Hot Springs has a very limited number of restaurants so it is great to see the Sunshine Cafe shining again!

This was probably the best breakfast I have had in desert hot springs. I got a country Benedict and my wife ordered steak and eggs. The steak was cooked very well and great quality.

I enjoyed the staff, they made my time here a lot better their enthusiasm and their energy was amazing. I had a good time here the place was fresh, clean and organized. The prices were reasonable. The portions were perfect. I will definitely be coming here more often. I hope this place or the staff never change because there aren’t many places in this area to eat at homey

The wait staff was lovely. I walked in and immediately was served a coffee ruby could tell I needed it. That being said I waited almost 30 minutes for my food when I was one of 5 guests. I ordered the country Benedict and a side of bacon. The gravy and hashbrowns were wonderful but, the poached eggs were over cooked and my bacon was room temp. Overall I enjoyed it but they have room for improvement.

Friendly people , staff is very courteous , the bar has a band playing on Sundays. Nice place to relax in the bar or the mineral pools . They also have a coed sauna and cabanas , all in all it was a pleasant relaxing afternoon.
