This is the best sushi I have ever had and most likely will ever have. The food is so fresh and the flavor is phenomenal. The staff is extremely friendly and attentive. Small renovated home in downtown Covington turned sushi restaurant. We love sitting at the sushi bar and chatting with the chefs. All the fish is very fresh and delicious! Also- they do not fill their rolls with excess rice as fillers. Presentations are always beautiful. Rotating special menu.

By far the very best sushi establishment there is. Quality is unsurpassed, as is the service. It ranks well above Uchi Austin. While not cheap, you get what you pay for. Their Toro is to die for. Make sure to make reservations.

We had a wonderful lunch. They start you off with a delicious cucumber salad which is delicious. The presentation of the salad was wonderful. We then split the Spicy Salmon appetizer, sorry no picture for that, and the presentation and taste were superb. We then shared the Teriyaki Box and the taste and presentation again. Were superb. After we ate, they finished us with fresh cut pineapple, a great way to cleanse your palate. We will be back here again.

Best sushi we’ve had on the Northshore by far, and possibly better than the best we’ve had on the Southshore. Laid back atmosphere, friendly staff and phenomenal food. Highly recommend.

Definitely the best sushi joint on the north shore. I ordered the dumplings and the George roll. They also have FRESH REAL wasabi (second pic) which is very hard to find in general. They give you a free piece of pineapple after for a desert. Very good service. I will continue to come back here.

Aki is owned by one of the best and nicest sushi Chef’s around. His sashimi is off the charts as well as the rolls. If you are in the. NOLA area and are into fresh clean, non mayo style sushi you must give it a try. Anytime we are within 100miles of his restaurant we try and make it to see him. Unfortunately my pictures are not very good as I like to spend time eating rather than photoing. On this visit, our server was well versed on the menu making the trip even more enjoyable.
