Just had Saturday brunch. The patio area, food , drinks and staff were all amazing! I will be a regular and can’t wait to try dinner. I highly recommend City Cafe!

Lovely little place for a nice date! The menu is vaguely Italian in nature but there are some delicious appetizers. We got the asparagus and pork belly and really enjoyed it (note: it was sort of spicy!) Their iced tea was also delicious. Lovely little place with an intimate atmosphere and an outdoor patio. They also have their own parking in the back!

We stumbled upon City Cafe on the way back to Sacramento and ended up having the most fantastic evening of our trip there! The cocktail list was inventive and we had never seen an in house mixologist in a restaurant before – very creative.

I love the decor. We went for a friends birthday and we all got different items. We all tried each other’s food. The polenta wedges were tender and delicious, the burger is amazing, the shrimp scampy was great, the Tuscan chicken and pesto was delightful, and the steak was perfectly cooked and incredibly flavorful. We had the creme brulee for dessert and itnwas some of the best I’ve had in a long time. We will definitely be going again.

Always a great experience. The food is delicious. The soup is great, I always order the special and it is always the best. My personal favorite… the creme brulee!

The new ownership has completely knocked it out of the park. Made reservations for my wife’s birthday and they took out all the stops to make sure she felt special from the second we walked in. The menu is perfect and everything was prepared with exceptional quality. They have brought the City Cafe right back to #1 in this and the surrounding area. Get there before everyone else finds out!

I came here w/ my husband and our two friends a week ago. I love supporting small business in town, but the service at this establishment was horrible! From the beginning to the end nothing went well.

Excellent Brussels Sprouts appetizer with bacon and pomegranate that added zest and appeal in every savory bite. Salmon salad was delicious with perfectly cooked salmon and an excellent dressing. The Ragu Bolognese was incredible, with just the right seasonings and served hot with Parmesan buttered toast points. We chose this place out of the blue for our 38th Wedding Anniversary luncheon, and its beautiful Old World mural, white spotless linen, rapt attention to our needs, and excellent overall atmosphere did not disappoint! We each had one cocktail – they were excellent too! The only “average” food we had was the Crab Cake appetizer.

Terrible. Ok, the salmon was good but it was just about $50 for two for lunch with a soda and cold coffee. The coffee was served cold and the soamda had so much ice there was barely a few sips. The menu is tiny and way over priced. For a place with “cafe” in its name and for lunch, this place is dark and dingy. I watched a huge group leave because of how tiny the menu was. I won’t be going back.

Just found this place… The vibe/ atmosphere reminds me of a day in Hollywood or Venice Beach minus the beach. From the cocktails to the Entrees everything is fabulous. I’m a food blogger and this place is a spot you don’t want to miss out on. The flavors are perfect and you still taste it hours later after brushing and flossing. Definitely will be going there again often and it’s 35mins away from the house.
