There will be a menu adjustment eliminating the Jerk wings from the menu. I think that will be a big lost! They were better than I imagine. They were fresh, seasoned perfectly. Not too spicy with added sauce for those who needs it. I’ll will be back soon. Service was great. Waitress greeted and introduced herself which is always a plus. Though the restaurant was gradually busier she still maintained her attentiveness to my table.

Went here for my cousins birthday/ wedding anniversary…. it was about 16-20 of us. I’d say about 15% of my family didnt like the service but I’m sure it was due to having a large crowd. Personally, I was happy to be here. I love black establishments. The waiter was very nice and made sure everyone was good constantly. A few orders were kind of cold due to the wait of everyone’s else food but he took it back and got it heated up for the older family members that complained. Instead of going back and forth he left a few pitchers of water out for us which was nice. The food was amazing. I had the chicken and sausage gumbo with shrimp. I recommend this place (in a group of less than 5 lol)

They have good food! But horrible customer service! I waited 45 min on food that I tried to call in but was told I couldn’t place an order over the phone unless I paid first!( I only had cash). I ordered an egg over easy and after waiting 45min they tell me I I can’t have my egg over easy! This black is a joke I’m sure will be shut down soon due to lack of good customer service! They should have be open 30min before so when the doors opened they were ready for customers. I asked for a manger she never came! And they forgot my pancakes! Management needs to remember good service keeps u open longer! Good customer service ppl tell 1-3 ppl bad customer service I ppl tell 10-12! Do the math!

I place a $60 order for my mother & I on a Saturday afternoon. The wait for in cafe dinning was 1 1/2…not an issue. We asked for our order to be to go…order placed at 356pm…it is now 452pm and we are still awaiting our order. The workers are very nice, but the customer service is horrible. Cleaning chemicals place on the bar visible to customers and near drink straws…WE NEED TO DO BETTER. I live in Naperville and came all the way out here to visit my mother & was told their food was good. WILL NOT RETURN.

I waited 20 min to get seated not because it was packed but because they were short staffed. Then I waited another 25 min before a waiter even came to take my order. I order a turkey burger and added a egg to eat. Both the burger and egg was over cooked. The waiter never apologized for the wait. He simply said it wasn’t his fault the restaurant was short staffed today. I should of left after that comment but I thought the food would at least be decent. I also order grits with sausage it was decent but not worth the experience to EVER visit again. As I walked out I did run into the owner and kinda mention to her my wait experience. Her exact words were “aw okay”…. yea I won’t be back:)
