Salty! Salty! Salty! And did I mention Salty? If you are a Jamaican who has lived in Jamaica, this is NOT the place for you b/c you know what authentically made Jamaican food tastes like. Others who have no prior knowledge may find it tolerable. I had curry goat and I couldn’t eat much of it. Between the salt and the lack of flavor, I had to get the manager and talk to her. She was nice and apologetic. But facts are facts: my food was waaaay too salty and my friends jerked chicken was reheated, burnt, and w/o jerk seasoning. It took three days for my blood pressure to come down because of the salt content from the goat platter w/ rice and peas. She is a cook and quickly realized her chicken had been reheated. Do you you see the blackness of it: charred, burnt, and old with no jerk seasoning or flavor. Go to Camden or Philly for authentic, tastier, and cheaper Jamaican fare. Whey dem a serve, ah nuh it!! Disappointed!

Workers were rude, food is overpriced and not that good at all, especially for the price. The coco bread was stale, they covered it in water and microwaved it to make it “soft” again. Ox tail was very clearly old, I didn’t get food poisoning but I have had diarrhea for 3 days now since consuming this food. There are a few good Jamaican cuisine restaurants around here and this isn’t one of them. Mama Lunes is way better, fresher, and better service with no diarrhea.

The worst Jamaican food I’ve ever had. Order was very cold! I tracked the order. They can’t blame the dasher. For $25. Why did I waste my money!

Our first try and sadly I won’t be going back. The jerk chicken was way too salty and spicy even though we ordered mild. I couldn’t even eat the rice it was sitting on. The ox tail was ok – good taste but very fatty. The plantains weren’t ripe. Overall it was overpriced for subpar food and poor cuts of meat that were mostly fat and bones.

I am extremely disappointed with the two platters I ordered. I ordered the jerk chicken and jerk pork, rice and beans, cabbage and plantains. Both platters are extremely dry and over cooked.

Yallllll if you’re here from DoorDash reading these reviews, this is your sign. I let them deter me a few times and I missed out for sure. Tonight via doordash, we came to our senses and ordered, both the jerk chicken platter and the brown stew chicken platter, along with chicken tendys for the young one.

I called and no one ever answered the phone so I chanced it and went there. After giving the waitress my order and she ringing me up taking my pay. She started waiting on 5 other people who came after me but left before me. Finally I asked was there a wait on something she said, well I would have informed my customer and gave them the option of changing the order, where was the customer service. I was there for at least 45mins. that’s unacceptable. After getting back 1 of the people who received a platter stated there was majority bones and not meat. (Curry goat). This is not what I’m accustomed to at this establishment, oh did I mention I ordered 3 platters but only received 2. I’m very dissatisfied. And I’m being nice about this.

The staff is very friendly and welcoming. I ordered the Islansd stir fry which was amazing. For the price point you do get a lot of food. My mom ordered the curry goat and did complain about it being too salty.
